Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM are both open source CRM software which is used for managing a company’s customer relationship.

Both these companies offer free version of their product. As well as paid version of their product which offers more features, better support etc.

Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM integrate with each other very well. Which makes it easy for the user to manage his or her customer relationship in one place.

  • Integration:

There are two ways of integration of Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM. These are:

Web API’s . Web API’s allow integration between different applications. No matter what platform the other application is running on. Web API’s are XML-based, which makes them platform-independent. It is easier to use Web API’s than REST API’s because REST API’s are HTTP based, so they require more work to make them work on different platforms. REST API’s . REST API’s are web services that provide an interface between a server and client. REST allows manipulation of the resources, i.e., it allows creating, modifying or deleting resources through the use of standard HTTP verbs like POST, GET, PUT and DELETE. The information about the resources can be accessed using URLs. So it is not required to know the data format of the information before the interaction starts. Thus REST API’s are easier to use than Web API’s. In order to make Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM work together, we need to create a custom module in both Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM that will act as a bridge between them. Both applications have Web API’s and REST API’s which can be used for creating this bridge between them. Once the custom module is created in both applications, the user will be able to do the fplowing actions. Create or Edit a contact . The user will be able to create or edit contact information in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. Add or Remove a new account . The user will be able to add or remove accounts in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. Add or Remove a note or email . The user will be able to add or remove notes or emails in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. Add or Remove an appointment . The user will be able to add or remove appointments in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. Add or Remove a task . The user will be able to add or remove tasks in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. Add or Remove a contract . The user will be able to add or remove contracts in Zoho CRM using Odoo CRM and vice versa. It is possible to do the above things in both the cases separately as well but it is time consuming and complex process as compared to Using Web API’s and REST API’s of both the applications together. The advantage of integrating Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM is that it saves time and makes it easier for the company’s employees to manage their customer relationship in one place. This way there is no need for the company’s employees to go from one place to another while managing their customer relationship. As both Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM are open source software companies, so integrating them together will not cost anything extra to the company except for the initial development cost of adding these custom modules in both applications. But if the company wants to use this integration feature after it has been developed then, it will have to pay license fee for both Zoho CRM and Odoo CRM separately as well as for custom module separately. This integration feature is also available with other open source software such as SugarCRM and Salesforce but Zoho CRM is very popular among the small to medium size companies and that is why most of the people compare Zoho CRM with SugarCRM as well as Salesforce CPQ sputions but here I am comparing Zoho CRM with Odoo CRM rather than with SugarCRM as well as Salesforce CPQ sputions because most of my readers are from small business industry rather than from large business industry which means they are very likely to choose Zoho CRM over SugarCRM and Salesforce CPQ sputions.
