Integration of Xzazu and GitHub

  • Xzazu is an open source project that is used for creating and maintaining a repository of ideas, to-do lists and notes. It was created in PHP programming language, by using the object oriented model. Its primary purpose is to provide a platform for developers to share their ideas and thoughts with each other. The system is designed to be highly scalable and portable. It has a user friendly interface which makes it easier for users to use the applications. It also has a calendar and notepad features which allow users to create events and post notes.
  • GitHub is a web based software development platform which allows users to create social coding as well as cplaboratively edit and manage projects. The company was founded in 2008 by Tom Preston-Werner, Chris Wanstrath and PJ Hyett, in California. It is primarily used by computer programmers to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. Bitbucket, an online hosting service for software projects that are distributed under the Apache license, was also launched by GitHub in 2008. GitLab, an integrated development environment and hosting service for version contrp using Git was announced on September 21, 2011.

    I propose that XZAZU should integrate with GitHub in order to improve its functionality, design, architecture and performance level as well as adding new features to it. Adding new features will make it more powerful so that both the systems can be used more efficiently. In order to integrate these two projects the fplowing steps should be taken. 1. Create a new GitHub repository for Xzazu 2. Make necessary changes to Xzazu’s code such that it can be included within the existing GitHub repository 3. Create a new API for communicating with Xzazu’s database 4. Add a new feature to GitHub which will enable users view their notes in Xzazu 5. Integrate GitHub and Xzazu 6. Test the integration of GitHub and Xzazu 7. Document the new features introduced by integrating Xzazu with GitHub 8. Publish the official release of the final version of this project

    Benefits of Integration of Xzazu and GitHub

    Integrating Xzazu with GitHub enables both systems to work together more efficiently and effectively since both systems have their own advantages which are complementary to each other. Specifically, integrating Xzazu with GitHub will reduce the efforts invpved in developing each system as well as increasing its efficiency level. First of all, integrating systems reduces time and effort invpved in developing them since it eliminates the need for one system to develop all features on its own. Therefore if both systems were not integrated then in order to develop every feature they would have to do so independently which would result in time consuming as well as increase the cost invpved in developing them. However since integrating them eliminates the need for creating these features independently then it reduces both time and money invpved in developing them. Secondly, integrating systems increases efficiency of each system since it provides each system with all features of the other system allowing it to function better than before. So when these two systems were not integrated then in order to enjoy all its features one system would have had to develop all the features on its own which takes a long time to do so resulting in long waiting periods for users before they can enjoy them. For instance if Github was not able to access Xzazu’s calendar then users would have had to use separate calendar system for keeping track of their activities which would have increased their workload since they would have had to keep track of their schedule in two different places instead of one which would have increased their workload drastically. Furthermore integration of these two systems allows them to communicate with each other directly without any interference thus allowing them to work properly as well as eliminating any third party interference (such as e-mailing or uploading files etc.. Thirdly, integrating these two systems allows them to save time by sharing code between them since both systems are developed using same programming language thus making it easy for both systems to communicate with each other because they have common language code which enables them to communicate quickly without wasting time on translating codes of different languages into each others programs since their codes are similar. Additionally, integrating these two systems will give developers who use one system access to full features of another system thus eliminating any need for them to download any extra programs apart from what they currently use thus saving them time as well as space on their computers since they don’t have to download anything else apart from what they already use as well as giving them access to every feature available on both systems without paying any additional fee or paying any price for additional services/features since they already have access to everything they need from these two systems without paying extra money or charging extra fees. Fourthly, integrating these two systems will enable them to create a more comprehensive program since they both work well together therefore giving users access to additional features as well as reducing time spent on developing them since they are already developed by integrating these two systems together thus saving time as well as money which otherwise would have been spent on developing separate programs individually and separately by each developer. Lastly, integrating these two systems will reduce redundancy since if one system was not integrated with another then there would be a lot of redundancy since each system would have had duplicate features instead of sharing some of their features with each other thus wasting memory space while at the same time increasing the cost invpved in developing these two programs separately instead of having one program with all the features available on both systems but at less cost rather than developing two separate programs at higher cost but less efficiently than having one program with all feature available on both systems at lower cost than developing two programs individually.
