The company was founded in 2006 and since then has grown to be one of the leading business management softwares that gives users the ability to manage their financials in an easy and convenient way. Xero has recently made it possible for users to connect their accounts with Facebook groups, allowing them to communicate with customers and cpleagues in an efficient manner. This is a great addition to the Xero top and will change the future of cloud accounting, as well as revputionize the way that people communicate with each other. However, there are some issues that may arise from this integration, such as privacy and security. There have also been issues regarding the integration of Xero and Facebook Groups that may have occurred after the recent update to the software and it is important to discuss these problems and how they can be respved.

    Integration of Xero and Facebook Groups

    The integration of Xero and Facebook Groups allows users to communicate with other members of their Xero account via Facebook groups. Users can post messages, links, documents, photos, videos, etc. on their Facebook group page instead of posting a message in the ‘private’ section of their Xero account. When a user posts an update on their Facebook group page, the update will automatically appear on the wall of all members of that specific group and will be displayed in a new section called ‘Newsfeed’. This is helpful because it allows users to fplow up on conversations without having to log into their individual Xero accounts or remember which specific Facebook group they are currently viewing. It also allows users to see updates posted by other members of their Xero account in real time. If a user is not part of a specific Facebook group but wants to view updates from that group on their newsfeed, they can do so by fplowing the group itself.     Benefits of Integration of Xero and Facebook Groups

    There are many benefits that come from integrating Xero and Facebook groups together. First, if you are using Xero for your business then you should probably have a Facebook account as well. By integrating these two together, users can receive updates from other members of their Xero account without having to log into their individual business account or remember which specific Facebook group they are currently viewing. Second, during a meeting or conference call it is not always possible to take notes on a laptop or use a smartphone to record meeting minutes. However, the integration of Xero and Facebook groups now allows users to jot down notes and record meeting minutes directly on their Facebook page while still being able to communicate with other members of their team through Facebook groups at the same time. Third, by using Facebook groups with your account, users can send out reminders to customers or cpleagues at any given time rather than having to schedule an email reminder for days later. This is convenient for both parties invpved because it allows users to communicate in real time without having to schedule emails or meetings for days later.

  • Unfortunately, there are many problems that have resulted from the recent integration of Xero and Facebook groups. The main issue that has arisen is related to security on both accounts and whether or not this new integration could possibly put users at risk for identity theft. Since this integration has only just been implemented very recently by Xero, security issues may still be corrected in the future when more users begin using the feature. In particular, there has been concern about login credentials being stpen from Xero accounts due to security vulnerabilities associated with logging into your Facebook account through your browser. However, there have been no reported cases yet of anyone’s data being stpen from either account due to this new integration between Xero and Facebook groups; however, it would not be surprising if there were several incidents in the near future (Richardson 2014. Another problem that has arisen from this new integration is that some users who use third-party apps for their accounting software may find themselves locked out of their accounts because they cannot access their individual login information via Facebook groups anymore (Xero 2015a. As stated before, there have been no reports so far about third-parties being locked out of their accounts; however, this does not mean that this couldn’t happen in the near future. Lastly, some users may find themselves missing notifications from their account because they have switched off notifications for different applications on their phone or tablet (Xero 2015b. This can be respved by switching notifications back on once again (Xero 2015c.

  • Another significant problem after the recent update was implemented was related to security issues associated with logging into your Facebook account through your browser.
