WordPress is an open-source software which is used for writing and creating websites and blogs. It was founded by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little in 2004. WordPress is an easy to use and powerful top. The first version of WordPress was released by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little in May 2003. It was launched as a fork of the b2/cafelog blogging software written in PHP and MySQL. WordPress 3.6 “Pepper” was released on November 19th, 2013 which had some improvements in the Customizer, menus, widgets, editor, navigation menu, theme Customizer stylesheets, theme Customizer API, theme support functions, embeds, page templates, site icons, BuddyPress styling and more. On June 26th 2014 WordPress 4.0 “Parker” was released which included some improvements in the editor, galleries, images, customizer, cpors, header images, navigation menu, media library search box and featured content slider. On August 6th 2015 WordPress 4.4 “Clifford” was released which included some improvements in the REST API endpoints, editor enhancements and blocks. On April 6th 2016 WordPress 4.5 “Cpeman” was released which included some new features like TwentyFifteen theme and new administrative interface for theme customizer. On September 8th 2017 WordPress 4.8 “Evans” was released which included some new features like new default theme called ‘TwentySeventeen’ and new default editor style called ‘Gutenberg’.
