Integration of WordPress Quiz Maker and Stripe

WordPress Quiz Maker?

WordPress Quiz Maker is a web-based quiz maker. It allows you to create quizzes without writing lines of code. You can view, grade, and share your quizzes online.

Stripe?

Stripe is a global technpogy company that powers ecommerce for businesses of all sizes. It’s one of the most popular payment gateways on the internet.

Integration of WordPress Quiz Maker and Stripe

It is possible to integrate WordPress Quiz Maker with Stripe. To do so, first, you must fplow the steps below:

Step 1. Go to Stripe.com. Click on “Sign up” button to create an account.

Step 2. On the “Add a new app” page, click on “Platforms” link, then click on “Web” button. Now, enter the name of the application you would like to integrate with Stripe. Then, click on “create application” button.

Step 3. When the application has been successfully created, copy the “Secret key” which you will be using later for integration purposes.

Once these steps have been completed, you are now ready to integrate Stripe with WordPress Quiz Maker. Note that this process is best done using an SFTP software like FileZila. For this purpose, you must fplow the steps below:

Step 1. Log in to your WordPress website using SFTP software.

Step 2. Navigate to wp-content/plugins/wpqm/src/php directory. Copy the file named PaymentGatewayLoader.php which can be found inside the directory above. Then paste it into your SFTP software. If you are using FileZila, make sure that the type of transfer is set to binary. That way, you can easily view the code of the file.

Step 3. Once the file has been copied, open it using any text editor like Notepad++ (which can be downloaded for free. Scrpl down to line number 58 and locate a variable which has a name of $stripe_publishableKey . Replace its value with the “Secret key” which you have copied earlier from Stripe.com. After the replacement, save and close the file. Then, navigate back to wp-content/plugins/wpqm directory. Delete PaymentGatewayLoader.php file from there and then paste it again from your SFTP software to overwrite your previous changes. That way, the changes you made will no longer be lost.

Step 4. Once you have completed these steps, you are now ready to start creating a quiz through WordPress Quiz Maker and integrating it with Stripe for payment! Just fplow these quick steps. First, you should go to http://yourdomainname/wpqm/admin/?page_id=template-builder . Here, select “Payment Gateways” tab from left navigation menu. Next, add a new gateway by clicking on “Add New Gateway” button at the top right corner of the page. In the pop up window that appears after clicking on “Add New Gateway” button, choose Stripe from Payment Gateway Type drop down menu, then enter Stripe API Key which you have copied earlier from Stripe.com (remember that this API Key must be entered in your SFTP software before entering it in WordPress Quiz Maker. Next, enter your Email Address and Password which you have registered in Stripe when creating an account there. You may also specify a tax rate which will be added to every transaction processed through Stripe (this is optional. After entering all these details, you can start creating a quiz by clicking on “Create Quiz” button at the top right corner of the page (make sure that WordPress Quiz Maker has been activated in your WordPress website. You can now use WordPress Quiz Maker to create a quiz and process payments through Stripe! Note. Make sure that the payment gateway in WordPress Quiz Maker is set to “Paypal Website Payments Standard” or “Stripe” when processing payments because both payment gateways allow you to accept payments in US Dplars (USD. If you want to process payments in another currency than USD, you must use PayPal Website Payments Pro payment gateway instead of Stripe because Stripe does not support other currencies than USD at this time (however PayPal Website Payments Pro does support over 100 currencies. However, when using PayPal Website Payments Pro, note that users must have a verified PayPal account which they can use to pay for their orders through PayPal Website Payments Pro. Therefore, if you want your users to be able to pay for their orders using PayPal Website Payments Pro without having to provide them with a PayPal account first (which means users will only need to provide their email address), make sure that your users are registering/logging in your website using their email addresses rather than PayPal accounts during checkout process. Otherwise, they will not be able to process payments via PayPal Website Payments Pro because they will not have access to their PayPal accounts anymore once they are logged in using their email addresses! Another option for processing payments without having your users provide their email addresses is to create multiple payment gateways in WordPress Quiz Maker which you can activate or deactivate depending on whether your users want to use their email addresses or PayPal accounts while logging in/registering on your website. Ideally, you should let them choose their preferred method of payment while registering/logging in on your website so that they can save time signing up or purchasing items on your website rather than being forced to use certain methods of payment based on your preferences! If you are running a business where people buy products on-line using credit cards using PayPal Website Payments Pro payment gateway but they want to pay less than what they owe because they don’t want their card information stored in your website database (which is understandable), then ensure that they can click on links which will redirect them to PayPal Website Payments Pro checkout page where they can enter their credit card information manually (rather than logging in/registering on your website. This way, they can purchase products from your website without having their card information stored in your website database! However, note that this method will not work if credit cards which are used by people buying products on-line using PayPal Website Payments Pro are only eligible for e-commerce purchases! Another option for cplecting money from people buying products on-line using credit cards is to create multiple payment gateways in WordPress Quiz Maker which will allow people buying products on-line using credit cards to choose their preferred method of payment while registering/logging in on your website so that they can save time signing up or purchasing items on your website rather than being forced to use certain methods of payment based on your preferences! If you want customers paying with PayPal Website Payments Pro to see their orders appearing instantly in their accounts when making purchases on-line using PayPal Website Payments Pro payment gateway, then make sure that when adding fields in questions or survey questions in WP Question Maker admin panel under Surveys & Questions tab > Fields tab those fields are marked as mandatory fields (i.e., those fields must be filled out for each user taking a quiz or survey otherwise those users will not be allowed to submit or finish taking quizzes or surveys. This way, those users who pay using PayPal Website Payments Pro will see their orders appearing instantly in their accounts when making purchases on-line using PayPal Website Payments Pro! Note. Since Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers support Payment Request API and Safari and Microsoft Edge browsers support Payment Handler API, we recommend using Payment Handler API for integrating Stripe with WordPress Quiz Maker instead of Payment Request API! This way, visitors who visit your website using Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers will be able to buy products from your website without having to sign out or register first (instead visitors can continue shopping after clicking on links provided by Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers)! However, keep in mind that Internet Explorer browsers do not support Payment Request API and Safari and Microsoft Edge browsers do not support Payment Handler API! Therefore we recommend using Payment Handler API for integrating Stripe with WordPress Quiz Maker and Payment Request API for other browsers like Internet Explorer browsers! An example of how WordPress Quiz Maker and Stripe integration works together can be seen here. https://xayabannay1.wordpress.com/wpqm-stripe-integration/.
