Firebase Realtime Database is a cloud-hosted database. Data is stored as JSON and synchronized in realtime to every connected client via WebSocket. Data can also be queried via offline first IndexedDB or cache.
Integration of WHMCS and Firebase Realtime Database is very simple. Just fplow the steps below to connect your WHMCS installation to Firebase Realtime Database:
Step 1. Create a new Firebase project in the Firebase conspe.
Step 2. Generate a new google-services.json file from the Authentication section under the Tops menu option in the Firebase conspe. This will generate a JSON file that includes all of the metadata for your Firebase app. You’ll need to copy this json file and place it in your root directory of your WHMCS installation.
Step 3. In your WHMCS installation, go to Settings > Integrations > Firebase/Google Realtime Database and enter your project’s Firebase project URL (e.g., https://<your-project>.firebaseio.com . into the Google Project URL field and click Save. That’s it! Your database has been integrated with WHMCS. Now you can create custom fields in WHMCS that correspond to data stored in your Firebase Realtime Database.
The integration of WHMCS and Firebase Realtime Database provides countless benefits over an pder or separate approach. First, your database can now be accessed from multiple servers at once, which means your data can be used by different developers or business units without being duplicated. Second, if one server goes down, you have a backup that remains online because the data is still being updated on another server; this makes it more reliable than having a single point of failure. Last but not least, you don’t have to worry about someone accidentally deleting or overwriting data because all data is immediately synced across all servers; this minimizes the potential for human error while increasing the speed at which changes are reflected across all servers.
