We will be using the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI. for setting up our DynamoDB instance. You are required to set up your environment for this purpose. To do so, run the fplowing command:

sudo apt-get install python-pip

This should install pip, which will be used to install boto3. Once you have installed pip, run the fplowing command:

pip install boto3

This should install boto3 in your system. This library provides the interface between Python (programming language. and AWS. It will be used to interact with our database at a later stage. We will be using another library called “requests”, which is used for sending HTTP requests. You can install it using the fplowing command line:

sudo pip install requests

  • Get your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key:

These are two security keys that you need in order to access any resource (or service. provided by AWS. You will find detailed instructions on how to get your AWS credentials there. A .pem file should be downloaded after doing so. This file contains your private key and should be kept in a safe place as it gives you access to any resources or services provided by AWS.

  • Create a “dynamoDB” key-pair:

After downloading your private key, you need to create a “dynamoDB” key-pair that you will use to connect to your database. For this purpose, execute the fplowing command at the terminal:
