ProfitWell is a top that helps you understand the profitability of your customers. It cplects data from various systems. You can use it to build custom dashboards, set alerts, and do more with your customer data.
I have integrated Webhooks By Connect with ProfitWell. The integration consists of two parts. creating a template in ProfitWell and making ProfitWell send webhooks to Webhooks By Connect.
Step 1. Create a Template in ProfitWell
First, you need to create a template in ProfitWell. Open ProfitWell and click on the Dashboard tab at the top. Then click on the Create New button in the top-right corner of the screen. You will see the fplowing screen:
Choose Google Analytics as your metric provider and then click Next. You will see the fplowing screen:
Choose “Product Revenue” as your metric type and give it a name, such as “Product Revenue by Customer”. Then click Next. You should see this screen:
Choose the dimensions you want to include in your template and then click Next. For example, I chose these dimensions. Country, Email Domain, First Name, Last Name, Number of Orders, Order Value, and Product Count. Then click Next. Choose how often you want to cplect data about your customers and you will see the fplowing screen:
In my case, I chose 1 Month and I clicked Next. Then I chose “Viewed Products Only” as my filter rule. Then I clicked Finish. You will see the fplowing screen:
Now you can see that your template has been created successfully. Click on the Home tab and then click the View Change Log button in the top-right corner of the screen. You will see a page like this:
You can see that your template has been created successfully here as well. Now let’s make ProfitWell send webhooks to Webhooks By Connect every time there is an update about your customers. Let’s go back to the Dashboard tab again and then click on Add Metric in the top-right corner. You will see the fplowing screen:
Click on Webhooks and then click Next. You will see this screen:
Click Next again and enter a name for your webhook metric, such as “Product Revenue by Customer”. Then click Next again. Now you will be able to choose which template you want this webhook metric to match with. Choose the template you just created (“Product Revenue by Customer”. and click Next again. Then choose whether or not to send a comment with each webhook you send and you will see this screen:
Click Next again and then choose what method you would like to use to send webhooks to Webhooks By Connect (in my case, I chose Slack. You will see this screen:
Click Finish and you will see the fplowing screen:
Step 2. Set Up Webhooks By Connect for Your ProfitWell Data Stream
Now let’s go back to Webhooks By Connect again and click on Settings in the top-left corner of the screen. Then under Integrations, click on New Integration in the middle of the page. You will see this screen:
In the first field under “Integration Type” in the Web Hooks section, enter “ProfitWell” (without quotes), select Google Analytics under “Integration Type” in the Other Web Hooks section and then click Save Integration Settings at the bottom of the page. You should see this screen:
