With AWS IoT, devices can easily and securely interact with cloud applications and other devices in the AWS Cloud or on premises. AWS IoT makes it easy to securely connect, manage, and ingest data from millions of devices without the need to install and maintain dedicated hardware infrastructure, supporting billions of device registrations per year.

Integration of Webhooks By Connect and AWS IOT

Webhooks By Connect supports multiple Webhook services, including push notifications, email, Slack, SMS, GitHub, Twitter, and more. This integration will allow you to send an HTTP request to an endpoint in a specified URL for further actions, such as sending a push notification messages on your device. To configure this integration, fplow the steps below:

  • Create an AWS IoT device registry to define the device and its parameters such as device type, connection permissions, and so on. 2. Create ppicies in the AWS IOT api to define the conditions under which a message will be sent to an endpoint 3. Create an AWS Lambda function which is responsible for handling the events from the webhook 4. Create an AWS lambda function that handles the webhook events 5. Create an API Gateway endpoint to handle incoming HTTP requests 6. Configure a Webhook by connecting to the Amazon SNS topic 7. Send an HTTP request to the API Gateway endpoint 8. The Lambda function responds with a notification message 9. The API Gateway sends an HTTP response to the client 10. Alternatively, you can also implement an on-premise spution using MQTT protocp for sending a push notification message on your device.
