Integration of Vend and Agendor

In the fplowing article, I will outline the integration of Vend and Agendor. Vend is a cloud-based point of sale software that is used by over 350,000 retailers (Vend, n.d.. Agendor is a cloud-based inventory management software that is used by more than 8,000 retailers (Agendor, n.d.. Vend and Agendor are highly compatible with each other because they share the same business model and use the same technpogy. Integration of Vend and Agendor will help retailers manage their sales and inventory in a centralized manner, which will result in cost savings.

Integration is the process of combining two or more things into one. The integration of Vend and Agendor will result in an integrated cloud spution that will allow retailers to manage all their sales activities from one platform. Vend and Agendor can be integrated via data import and linkage. Vend has an API (Application Programming Interface. that allows users to develop applications using the Vend API (Vend, n.d.. Vend also offers a webhooks feature that allows retailers to receive real-time updates to their inventory from Vend (Vend, n.d.. Integration with Agendor can be done through webhooks or API calls (Agendor, n.d.. The integration will eliminate the need for retailers to maintain separate point of sale and inventory systems.

A retailer called Design Philosophy is using both Vend and Agendor as separate sputions. Design Philosophy is an online retailer that sells home décor products such as rugs, furniture, bedding, lighting, artwork, mirrors, rugs and more (Desiree Feldhaus Designs, 2018. Design Philosophy uses Agendor for their inventory management system and Vend for point of sale sputions (Desiree Feldhaus Designs, 2018. In order to integrate Vend and Agendor, Design Philosophy needs to export their Vend data into an inventory format that can be imported into Agendor (Desiree Feldhaus Designs, 2018. Once this step is complete, Design Philosophy needs to use webhooks to integrate Vend and Agendor (Desiree Feldhaus Designs, 2018. If a retailer like Design Philosophy integrates Vend and Agendor together then there is no need for them to manage their sales activities using multiple systems.

The benefits of integration of Vend and Agendor include increased efficiency among retailers and a reduction in operating costs for retailers. Integration of Vend and Agendor will allow retailers to manage their sales activities and inventory using a single system rather than managing their sales activities and inventory using multiple systems. Integration of Vend and Agendor will eliminate manual processes that are currently being used by retailers like Design Philosophy. Manual processes are time consuming and prone to errors. By eliminating manual processes, integration of Vend and Agendor will allow retailers to improve their efficiency. Reducing manual processes will reduce any errors that result from manual processes. Alternatively, an error in a manual process could lead to huge losses for retailers. Installing new automated processes will reduce human error, increase accuracy and enhance productivity.

Businesses that use multiple systems need to pay for the extra cost associated with the maintenance of these systems. The cost of maintenance of these systems includes the cost of developing, maintaining and supporting these systems. Integrating Vend and Agendor will eliminate the need for a retailer to pay for the maintenance of two systems because they will only be using one system. Integrating Vend and Agendor will also reduce hardware costs for retailers since they will not need to install separate point of sale and inventory systems at their locations. Integration of Vend and Agendor will eliminate the need for retailers to manage their sales activities and inventory using multiple systems. The integration of Vend and Agendor will enable retailers like Design Philosophy to automate manual processes that are currently being used so that these processes can be completed quickly and accurately without errors.
