Greetings, class. In today’s class, I will be talking to you about the integration of Trello and Google Docs. The integration of these two products is a great example of the benefits of cloud computing.
Trello is very useful online top which is used by many to keep their daily tasks organized. It is like a digital bulletin board which consists of lists and cards. These cards contain information about a certain task that needs to be done. Cards can be moved between lists such as “To Do,” “Doing,” and “Done” (Trello, n.d.. Users have the option to upload their own images on each card. This helps users remember what needs to be done and when it should be finished by. A user’s list can be shared with others and if they wish, they can invite people to cplaborate on certain cards (Trello, n.d..
Google Docs is basically a cloud-based word processor. A user can create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms and drawings. Although Google Docs does not contain any extra features specific to Trello, the integration of the two programs allows the simultaneous sharing of information between users in both programs. For example, with a single click a user can share his or her Trello checklist within a Google Doc. This makes it easier for users to edit and view the checklist within Google Docs (Trello & Google Docs. Cplaborate with Others, 2015. A user can also choose to link a Google Doc to a Trello board; this allows him or her to see all related files in one place (Trello & Google Docs. Cplaborate with Others, 2015.
I believe that this integration of Trello and Google Docs is a good example of a successful cloud computing partnership. The ability to share information between users on both programs makes it easier for them to get their work done. I hope you learned something from my lecture today. I will now take any questions you may have on the topic. Thank you for listening.
