Trello is a web-based project management application developed by Fog Creek Software. Trello allows users to organize their projects into boards. Users can add cards to these boards to represent tasks that they need to accomplish. Each card can have a description, attachments, due dates, labels, checklists or comments. Users can also add lists to the board to categorize tasks into manageable groups. Users can then drag and drop the cards around on the board, with the option to move multiple cards at once. This organizes the tasks in a visual way so that it’s easy for users to see how far along they are in accomplishing their goals. Trello is simple, intuitive and flexible enough to be used by individuals or teams of any size. A free account allows for up to 10 users, which is more than enough for most small teams.
Basecamp 2 is an online cplaboration top designed to help teams organize and manage projects. It has features similar to those of Trello including shared documents, discussion forums, chat rooms and file sharing. However, Basecamp 2 goes beyond Trello by allowing teams to communicate through private, one-to-one messages as well as group messages. Teams can also use Basecamp 2 to create daily meeting agendas and discuss what they accomplished during the prior day. One of the biggest differences between Basecamp 2 and Trello is that Basecamp 2 offers a feature called “Reminders” by which users can set due dates for tasks and monitor task completion over time. Reminders can be set for individual tasks or for larger projects such as a website redesign or a marketing campaign and allow teams to track their progress toward their goals.
The integration of Trello and Basecamp 2 allows users to manage their projects more efficiently and effectively all from the same platform. From within Basecamp 2, users will be able to view all of their active tasks on their Trello boards and get a clear overview of what needs to be done next. If needed, users can easily communicate with other members of their team through Basecamp 2 about specific tasks and stay in touch with other team members through the chat feature of Basecamp 2 when they are not able to physically meet in person. The added benefit of using both Trello and Basecamp 2 together is that they both offer free plans for individuals and teams with no limitations on the number of active projects on their boards. This allows teams who want to use both platforms together to do so without having to worry about spending too much money.
Integration of Trello and Basecamp 2 is very simple since both applications are web-based and require no downloads or installations. Once you have created an account on both platforms, you will need to sign in to each platform separately before being able to access your account on either platform from the other platform.
