Integration of Trello and Agendor

Now I will write about how I use Trello and Agendor to make my life easier.

First, I use Agendor to organize my important tasks. Then I use Trello to assign cards for different tasks in Agendor. For example, when I need to purchase a new computer, I will create a card in Agendor for buying a computer. Then I can assign the card to someone else to buy it. The task will be done easily. When the person buys the computer successfully, I will move the card into “Complete” section on Trello. If there is any problem, I will move the card into “Incomplete” section. Next, I will change the card cpor from red to green after the problem is spved. Finally, I will move the card into “Completed” section when everything is done.

Another example. I am an English teacher. There are many things that I need to do before class starts. First, I need to print out some materials for my students. Second, I need to prepare some activities such as listening, answering questions and watching videos. Third, I need to have some coffee because coffee is good for my memory! Then I will use Agendor to organize all these things, and then I will use Trello to assign cards for these things. When the class starts, I will simply move all these cards into “complete” section on Trello board!

Benefits of Integration of Trello and Agendor

As we have seen, using Agendor and Trello together can help us manage daily tasks more efficiently. They both have many benefits:

  • Time savings. Because we can pre-plan all our tasks in Agendor, we can save much time . We don’t need to remember all the details on what to do during the day anymore. You can also plan your calendar in Agendr easily! Moreover, if we use Trello together with Agendor, we don’t even need to remember all the assigned tasks at the same time. We can simply check each individual Trello card to see what we have to do next! It is especially useful when we are doing something that requires our full attention such as reading or working out. It is very difficult for us to remember all of our tasks at once since our brains are only capable of focusing on one thing at a time. Therefore, integrating these two tops can save us a lot of time for doing other more important things. We can easily plan and schedule our work without any trouble!
  • Transparency. Using Agendor allows us to see all our tasks in one place without having to check all of our e-mails or phone messages every day. In addition, we can share our tasks with others easily without having to send e-mail or phone messages back and forth. With Trello, we can easily share our work with our team members so they can see what we are doing and what we are not doing yet. Since all of our tasks can be seen in Trello board and Agendor dashboard, there is no more confusion about who did not finish their part of the work yet. We know immediately when someone did not do their part of the work yet by checking Trello board!
  • Accountability. Using Agendr helps us stay accountable for completing our tasks timely. We don’t need to spend a lot of time thinking about which one we should do first or second because all of them are already organized in Agendr! So we know exactly what we should do next by looking at our Agendr dashboard. Moreover, by using Trello together with Agendor, we can hpd people accountable for not doing their part of the work on time by moving their assigned cards from one section into another section such as from “assigned” section into “incomplete” section or from “incomplete” section into “completed” section. It is like a warning sign that says that you are not doing what you supposed to do yet! Many people do not want others to think that they don’t do what they supposed to do so they may feel embarrassed if they see their cards are moved from one section into another section. They may feel pressured that they have to finish their part of the work on time if their cards are moved into other sections! Therefore this accountability system allows us to know who didn’t finish their work yet right away without needing to ask anybody directly! This accountability system also allows people who are too lazy or too busy to complete their assigned task quickly because they know that they cannot escape this accountability system easily! So it is very effective in forcing people who don’t want work but still want credit get up and do their part of the work fast! To summarize, using these two tops together can help us stay honest and responsible about finishing our work on time!
