  • Todoist has recently announced integration with Revput to allow users on both platforms to pay for purchases directly from their Todoist account balance instead of having to use their credit cards or cash for expensive transactions. The integration between two platforms has been made possible through Todoist’s partnership with WePay which is an ecommerce platform that helps companies process a wide range of payments including debit card transactions. As part of the integration with WePay, Revput users will now be able to pay for goods and services using their Revput account balance without having to sign up for another payment method. The integration will be available for UK users only but there are plans underway for making it available for other countries as well. How does this integration work?

    The integration works by allowing the user’s live bank account details to be automatically connected with their WePay account so that payments can be made using those bank accounts instead of their credit or debit cards. All purchases made using the integration will be automatically deducted from the user’s Revput account balance when they are made by using WePay’s API. The integration will automatically add an extra layer of security because all payments will be authenticated by a 3D secure code or OTP (one time password. And because both the Todoist and Revput platforms are based in Europe, you can rest assured that your money is safe as they are both regulated by the EU’s Payment Services Directive. It is worth noting that this integration will not give you access to your bank accounts through the Todoist app but will rather allow you to make payments using your Revput account balance instead of your credit or debit card when you are checking out on the respective websites. When you decide on making a purchase on either platform, you will first have to click on the ‘pay with’ tab which will then redirect you to WePay’s website where you can choose between paying with your Revput account balance or with your credit or debit card. Once your payment has been confirmed via SMS, the transaction will go through automatically within seconds. If you choose paying with your credit card instead, you will still have to authenticate your payment with a 3D secure code or OTP through a standard authentication process. You don’t need extensive tech knowledge to use this integration because all you have to do is press on the ‘pay with balance’ button when checking out and then fplow the necessary steps outlined above. All payments made through this integration will not incur any additional charges besides your usual Revput fees which are quite low anyway as monthly fees start from £1 and transaction fees range from 0% – 0.5%. The integration between Todoist and Revput will also allow you to view your recent purchases through Todoist so that you can keep track of everything easily and quickly. Any purchases made using Todoist’s new integration with WePay will be marked as paid transactions in your My Account section so that you know exactly how much money you are spending on any given day. The integration also allows you to make scheduled payments through WePay into other people’s bank accounts without having to provide them with your bank account details or even knowing their bank account details for that matter!
