Integration of Todoist and moosend

Todoist?

Todoist is one of the most popular task management apps. It is a simple app for creating and organizing to-do lists, but it has powerful features that allow you to organize your life in a much more organized way. A user puts tasks into different projects, and these projects can have different sub-projects.

One really neat feature is that Todoist has multiple list views. One view is a simple list of all the tasks in the current project, another view shows an overview of the tasks in a given project for a certain day, and another view shows a bubble chart over the tasks in a given project.

The last view is one of my favorites because it allows you to see what tasks you were doing with the highest priority on a certain day, and it also allows you to see what you might have forgotten. If you forget to enter a task, it will show up as a large bubble on the chart. This way you can easily see what you accomplished, and what you didn’t!

moosend?

Mooseend is an online service that allows you to integrate your Todoist account with your favorite tops. One of these tops is GitHub, which is the main reason why I signed up for an account. It seems like moosend has integrations with many other services as well, including Slack, Jira, and more services. In this case study I will be focusing on the integration with GitHub, since that is the main top I use on a daily basis.

There are two things I really like about this integration:

It gives me a quick overview of all the things I need to do in GitHub. The reason why I need this is because GitHub has so many different tasks that it sometimes becomes hard to see everything at once. This way I have a nice overview of all the tasks I need to accomplish in GitHub. It allows me to easily create tasks in Todoist when I open a GitHub pull request or issue on my computer. Instead of having to type everything into Todoist by hand, I just have to click a button in GitHub and the task is created instantly! The button appears when I click on “Create Pull Request” or “Create Issue”, and it brings me directly to Todoist where I can select the right project and give it a title and description.

In general, the integration of Todoist and moosend really helps me become more productive. It helps me remember what tasks I have left in GitHub, and it also makes it easier for me to create new tasks in Todoist because I don’t have to type everything by hand anymore.
