Microsoft Exchange is a platform that allows users to cplaborate and communicate. It enables the sending and receiving of email as well as scheduling meetings and events. With Microsoft Exchange, users can share calendars and tasks as well as files. It comes with a variety of tops such as Office 365 and Skype for Business.
To make integration between Thinkific and Microsoft Exchange easier, an "Add an app" button is on the ribbon bar on top of the Outlook window. This button will allow users to add apps like Thinkific to their Outlook inbox. When this button is clicked, a drop-down menu will be displayed, which will have two choices. “Other Apps” and “Compatibility Apps.” The “Other Apps” section is where non-Microsoft apps are added. Thinkific, being a third-party application, is placed in the “Other Apps” section. The “Compatibility Apps” section is where Microsoft apps are added. It is possible to have both Microsoft apps and third-party apps in Outlook. However, only one app from each section may be used at once. If there are multiple apps from the same section, they will compete to use the functionality of the program or service they are hooked into. For example, if both Microsoft Mail and Gmail are added to Outlook, any action performed through Microsoft Mail will send the message through Gmail instead.
