Basecamp is a simple web-based project management top. It helps your team keep track of projects, communicate effectively and get work done faster. Features include messages, tasks, files, schedules, milestones, reports and more. With Basecamp you can easily add staff members, set due dates and assign tasks.

Integration of Squarespace and Basecamp 3

  • Billing integration – invoices will be automatically sent out from Squarespace to clients through Basecamp 3. The payment status will be automatically updated in Basecamp 3 as well. You can also import existing Basecamp 3 users into Squarespace accounts. This makes it easier to manage your customer data in one place and integrate with your accounting software.
  • Statistics – inside of Squarespace account dashboard you will be able to see statistics about your site’s traffic, which users are most engaged with your content and what devices they are using most often. You can also see how many people have visited your site and how many page views each piece of content received. You can see the activity timeline with information about comments, new fplowers and who replied to a message.
  • Analytics – analytics are tracked inside each website’s settings section. The same data as inside Basecamp 3 dashboard is available inside Squarespace dashboard. You can see the engagement metrics like bounce rate and time on site for all the pages on your site. You can see the number of users coming from search engines or social networks like Facebook. You can see the number of visits, visitors, unique visitors and where they live.
  • Customer addresses – you can connect your basecamp account to a Squarespace account so your customers’ addresses will automatically appear in their accounts when they purchase from you. You can then use the address inside basecamp to send invoices and notifications like a welcome email or an invoice reminder.
  • Sales tax – if you have sales tax enabled inside your Squarespace account you can see the sales tax cplected inside your basecamp account. If you don’t have sales tax enabled, basecamp will not show it as cplected. You can enable sales tax in your basecamp account under billing settings. Then you need to add the sales tax percentage rate to each product in Squarespace. You should also add the sales tax name, since it’s different than the name of the state (for example Chicago Tax on Income.
  • Invoicing – you can send invoices from within home page of each site. These invoices will be synced with all contacts that are registered in basecamp 3 user accounts on this site. By default invoices will be sent out at the end of every month, but you can change this setting in basecamp 3 admin area. Each invoice in basecamp will include all charges from this site and all services related to this site like hosting or domain registration. Invoice will be visible on Home Page of your site after it’s created in basecamp 3. Once you receive payments from basecamp 3 users you can pay them using their payment details from time to time in basecamp 3 administrator area. Invoice items won’t appear in bulk invoicing option until they are marked as paid in basecamp 3 admin area by using ‘Pay All Invoices’ button. You will need to have ‘Reportable Payments’ option enabled in settings of basecamp 3 to be able to see these payments inside your basecamp 3 account.
  • Invoices will sync with basecamp 3 accounts by designating the first item on each invoice as a charge for the website service itself and the remaining items as services related to that website (like domain registration or hosting services. Charges for custom work that is not related to any particular website will also appear in your basecamp 3 account if you create a custom type for those services and designate a specific price for them there before creating a new invoice for them.
