Integration of Square and SendGrid

Square is a mobile payment application, which is used by businesses to accept credit card payments with smartphones. SendGrid is an email delivery platform that allows companies to send emails with the help of their APIs. It also provides SMTP service for receiving emails if required.

Square integrated with SendGrid to send emails through its application. The process of sending emails through Square’s application is as fplows:

Step 1. When a customer chooses to pay with the help of credit card, he selects the option “Pay with Credit Card” and then clicks on “Pay Now”. This generates a QR code.

Step 2. The store owner opens the Square app and scans the QR code using his/her Square card reader. This automatically fills the form and accepts the payment.

Step 3. Once the payment is successful, it sends an email to both the store owner and the customer. The store owner receives an email from SendGrid and the customer receives an email from Square.

Step 4. The store owner can either agree or decline the order. If he agrees, the account is updated and the money is deposited into the bank account. If he declines, he gets a notification saying that the order has been declined.
