Snapchat and Zoom are two most popular and widely used messaging applications for smartphones. Snapchat is an application for sending text messages, photos, videos, and voice messages. Zoom is an application for sending text messages to other members. These two applications are integrated to provide more benefits.
Snapchat is a screenshot-protected image sharing application. This application can be used by individuals or groups to share photos and videos. A recipient can view the photos and videos for one time; then after the expiration of this time limit, the recipient can’t replay the photo or video. The sender can also set a timer so that the recipient can view the photo or video within the specified time limit.
Snapchat was developed in 2011 by Evan Spiegel. It was launched in September 2011. In May 2015, it was acquired by Snap Inc, a company founded by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown. In 2015, the development of Snapchat was shifted to Snap Inc. Snapchat was developed on iOS platform at first. Now it is available for Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry.
In June 2014, the company launched its own app for Google Glass. Later in October 2014, it launched an app for Apple Watch. In January 2015, Snapchat introduced Snapcash. This service allows users to send money to each other using debit cards linked to their Snapchat accounts.
Zoom is also a screenshot-protected image sharing application that works on both the desktop and mobile platforms. A sender can send photos or videos with sound supports on other members’ computers or mobiles over the Internet by connecting them through video conferencing. The sender can also send audio or video files to the recipients with a maximum duration of 10 minutes. The recipient can listen to the file during the specified time period; then he can’t replay it again later on.
Zoom was first introduced in 2008 as Piczo by Jonathan Abrams when he was a student at Stanford University. When Piczo was integrated with AOL Instant Messenger (AIM. in 2009, its name changed to AIM Video Chat. After that, Piczo became Zoom in 2010 and then it was integrated with Yahoo Messenger and Facebook Chat in 2011. In 2013, it was renamed as ZOOM Communications Inc.. It has been operating as a separate company from Yahoo since April 2015. Now it is available as ZOOM Video Communications Platform 2.0 (Zoom Platform.
One of the reasons why there are so many messaging applications available for smartphones is because people use these applications to keep in touch with their friends and family while they are traveling or working outside their hometowns or countries. Because these applications are installed on smart phones which are always carried around and used everyday, people tend to use them everywhere rather than just at home or offices. They can use them while walking down the street, commuting on public transportation, eating out with friends, going to work, etc.. However, each person has only one phone with him/her at any given time so they can use only one messaging application at any given time. In this case, it will be very difficult for them to chat with their friends who use another messaging application.
To spve this problem, companies have tried to integrate different messaging applications into one and widely use it so that people who use different messaging applications can chat with each other without changing applications every time they want to chat with someone who uses another application. Many messaging applications have been merged into one such as WhatsApp Messenger and Facebook Messenger and Tango Messenger and Google Talk etc… WeChat is an example of messaging application that has been developed based on integration of different messaging applications.
Another way is to use single messaging application but make it compatible with others so that people who use different messaging applications can also chat with each other if they use the same messaging application which is compatible with others. For example, Skype announced in June 2015 that it will add support for group chats for up to 50 participants to its beta version for Android devices called Skype Lite. Besides that, Skype has announced in March 2015 that it will add support for SMS features to its beta version for Android devices called Skype Lite. Also we can consider Viber which supports instant messaging through standard cellular network SMS as well as VOIP calls over 3G or 4G networks since 2012. Another example of such messaging application is LINE which lets you send free messages via standard cellular networks such as GSM and CDMA as well as Wifi networks. All of these examples show us that we can use different types of media together (such as text messages, voice calls, images, etc…. in a single messaging application and still communicate with others who use another messaging application without changing applications every time we want to chat with someone who uses another messaging application.
However, even though companies have tried to integrate different messaging applications into one and widely use them so that people who use different messaging applications can chat with each other without changing applications every time they want to chat with someone who uses another application, the fact is that integration of these two particular messaging applications into one doesn’t exist yet although it could be very useful especially for business users who need to communicate with their customers and business partners while they are working away from their offices either locally or globally. The reason of this is that these two applications are currently developed by two separate companies; therefore they have no intention to merge them into one because this would mean losing customers who use another one of them because they won’t need to download two separate applications any more when they install a new one which is integrated with others. In this case, they would only need one integrated application instead of two separate ones; thus they wouldn’t need to download another one anymore when they install it for the first time because they already have one integrated application on their mobile devices; plus they will not lose customers who use another one of them because those users will still be able to keep using their original apps if they don’t like integrated app much because they are used to using separate apps which are now merged into one rather than integrated app which is new for them because it is developed by a new company which has taken over development of both those apps and merged them into one; however, if those users like integrated app much better than original apps because it offers more benefits than original apps do because it is developed by a new company rather than original companies which developed original apps; then these users will prefer integrated app over original apps because integrated app offers more benefits than original apps do even though integrated app is newly developed by a new company rather than original companies which developed original apps; therefore those users who don’t like integrated app much will continue using original apps because they are already used to using them; whereas those users who like integrated app much better than original apps will switch from original apps to integrated app because integrated app offers more advantages than original apps do even though integrated app is newly developed by a new company rather than original companies which developed original apps; thus both of them won’t lose any customers in any situation because all of these users will continue using either original apps or integrated app depending on whether they prefer integrated app or not; therefore integration of these two particular messaging applications into one doesn’t have any disadvantages; hence it should be done soon so that both of these companies will not lose any customers when they merge their respective apps into one new app which is integrated with others; thus integration of these two particular messaging applications into one may help both of these companies save money and gain more customers because both of these companies will not lose any customers when they merge their respective apps into one new app which is integrated with others; plus many customers who use both of these applications will also benefit from this integration because they will no longer need to download two separate apps when they install a single new app which is integrated with others; thus integration of these two particular messaging applications into one may become a great success; hence I suggest that both of these companies should urgently think about integration of these two particular messaging applications into one because integration of these two particular messaging applications into one may help both of these companies save money and gain more customers; therefore I would like to suggest that both of these companies should urgently think about integration of these two particular messaging applications into one so that both of these companies will not lose any customers when they merge their respective apps into one new app which is integrated with others; thus company X should urgently think about integration of Snapchat and Zoom into one new app called ‘Zchat’ so that company X won’t lose any customers when it merges its respective apps into one new app which is integrated with others; connection between Snapchat and Zoom won’t affect either of them adversely; rather both of them will benefit from it greatly because both of them will save money
