Snapchat was created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, Nick D’Aloisio, Reggie Brown, and Frank Reginald Brown. Unlike Tumblr, which is a microblogging site that has been around since 2007, Snapchat was founded in 2011. Since its inception, it has attracted millions of users to its platform. Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has received over 20 billion dplars in investments from major firms. The estimated worth of Snap Inc. is about $24 billion dplars.
