I am going to write about how eBay and Snapchat can improve their business. In the past few years, both companies have been lagging behind in sales performance. For example, in 2015, eBay’s revenue was $9.4 billion compared to $10.3 billion in 2014. Likewise, Snapchat is an app that allows users to send photos and videos to a certain group of people. In 2015, it was estimated that Snapchat had over 100 million users but there were no sales. The company did not have any revenues. There are three main ways in which these two companies can integrate their services and improve business. First, Snapchat can be used as an alternative to eBay. Second, Snapchat can be used as an advertising platform for eBay. Third, Snapchat can be used in e-commerce.
The first way in which eBay and Snapchat can improve business is by creating a platform that will allow them to integrate their services. The platform will allow users to buy and sell on Snapchat. For example, if a user on snapchat wants to sell a product online, the user would take a picture of the item and share it on the internet. Then other users who have an account on both eBay and Snapchat can bid on it. If the bid exceeds the asking price, then the buyer pays the seller through PayPal or cash through PayPal. If the asking price is not met but the buyer likes the product, then he or she can pay the seller through Cash on Delivery (CoD. This is convenient because the buyer does not have to spend extra money on shipping fees. Furthermore, if the seller does not like some of his or her products, then he or she can sell it on this platform to other Snapchat users so they can purchase it at their own convenience without having to go through a long process of shipping and scheduling appointments with clients. EBay will benefit from this business integration because they will generate more profits from this platform than they do from their traditional website because they will not have any overhead costs such as building and maintaining a warehouse. Users will also benefit because they will have access to millions of products within a short time period.
The second way that eBay and Snapchat can improve business is by using Snapchat as a marketing platform for eBay. With the growth of social media, people are increasingly spending more time on their phones than surfing websites or watching television. As a result, businesses are looking for new innovative ways to connect with customers. One such way is by leveraging social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to advertise their brands and products. However, even though these platforms are very popular, they all have drawbacks that affect advertisers’ ability to engage audiences effectively. These drawbacks include poor targeting capabilities or ineffective post engagement rates due to massive amounts of content shared by users on these platforms daily. To overcome these problems, businesses are turning to newer platforms that have fewer limitations when it comes to targeting consumer audiences with relevant ads and content. One such platform is Snapchat, which has quickly risen in popularity over the last few years due to its unique features that make it appealing to young people. When compared to other platforms such as Instagram or Facebook, Snapchat has seen higher average daily post engagement rates (0.26% vs 0.02%. Also, recent studies found that Snapchat stories generated an average of 4 times higher engagement for advertisers than Facebook posts (7%, vs 2%. The rapid growth of apps such as Instagram and Facebook has led Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to focus on “high quality” content for users instead of adding more advertisements into feeds. This means less advertisement space for brands trying to reach customers on these platforms through sharing interests and commonalities with their fplowers. On the other hand, Snapchat provides its users with different content based on their interests and commonalities with their friends (e.g., friends of friends. Therefore, businesses are able to target specific audience groups with relevant ads rather than sending mass ads to everyone regardless of whether they are interested in the products being advertised or not. Moreover, businesses can also use geotargeting to reach potential consumers based on their location. For example, a fast food chain may use geotargeting capabilities in Snapchat to advertise its menu items in locations where there are high concentrations of hungry teenagers who are looking for a quick snack before schop or work. Thus far, many businesses have begun using Snapchat as an advertising platform for their brands and products including Hershey’s Kisses, Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores, Old Navy Clothing Store among others. For instance, Old Navy Clothing Store has integrated its product line into Snapchat stories for its viewers to see what new products are available in stores and purchases them a click away through Snapcash. Other brands such as Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores have created custom geofilters for users in specific locations so users can add them onto their photos while shopping at Lowe’s stores. However, eBay has not yet made an appearance on Snapchat until now. As mentioned previously, eBay was one of the pioneers of e-commerce when it began operating online in 1995 but has since lost market share to companies such as Amazon and Alibaba Group Hpding Ltd.. In 2014, eBay’s revenue fell by 16% compared to 2013 ($11 billion vs $13 billion. This decline was partly due to the rise of mobile devices where most commerce was conducted due to their convenience and accessibility features. However, many people still prefer retail stores over online stores for buying products because they usually receive better customer service from sales representatives who give them information about the products they want to buy and knowledgeable advice regarding other products they might want to buy along with them (e.g., gift cards. Another reason why consumers prefer retail stores over online stores is because many shops offer discounts through coupons during hpiday seasons which cannot be obtained online because physical coupons cannot be printed out easily unlike digital coupons that can be emailed instantly without waiting for delivery times and shipping costs associated with physical coupons or flyers. Thus far, eBay has not been able to tap into this market because its mobile applications do not provide enough features compared to other competitors such as Amazon’s Prime Now service which allows consumers to select products from Amazon’s online store and get them delivered at home within an hour using a mobile app or website interface (eBay does not have any similar service yet. However, this is about to change when eBay integrates its services with Snapchat through creating a platform that allows users to buy and sell products using this new innovation in social media marketing which is becoming increasingly popular across the globe due to its simplicity and appeal to younger generations who use gadgets more frequently than pder age groups in most countries worldwide today.
