SMTP by Connect is a Windows based email server that allows users to send and receive emails from a Windows application, web application or a mobile device. This feature of SMTP by Connect allows users to interact directly with the server, which gives them complete contrp over their data. With this user-defined interface, SMTP by Connect allows users to create their own email addresses and away messages, customize the POP/IMAP fpder structure, create unlimited filters for incoming emails, define custom actions for incoming emails using an API, etc. SMTP by Connect also provides the option to integrate with Quick Base for sending emails (without the need to use Quick Base.
Now that we have discussed SMTP by Connect, let’s discuss how it integrates with Quick Base. For this discussion, we will be using three different scenarios:
If you want to send emails using SMTP by Connect without integrating it with Quick Base, then you must create an account on your SMTP by Connect. Once you have created an account on your SMTP by Connect, you can send emails to anyone who has an email address. You can also send emails to other people on your network or on your organization’s internal domain if they are also using SMTP by Connect. If you want to send emails using SMTP by Connect but you also want to integrate it with Quick Base, then you need to create an account on your Quick Base as well as on your SMTP by Connect. Once you have created both accounts, you can create a new connector in either of the two accounts. To learn more about creating connectors in Quick Base, click here. Now that you have created a connector in either of the two accounts, you can configure that connector either through the API or through the administration panel of that account. The API that you can use for configuring the connector is provided in each API documentation for each account. If you are not sure about how to use the API for configuring the connector, then please refer to the API documentations of each account. Once you have configured the connector, you will be able to send emails to any recipient who has an email address, whether they are on your network or not.
