Integration of Smartsheet and Sentry

Integration of Smartsheet and Sentry can be achieved by using the fplowing steps:

Step 1. Add the Smartsheet integration to your Sentry account. Here are the steps to fplow:

Enter the URL for your Smartsheet instance in the text field. Click the Get Token button. Copy the token from the pop-up box into the clipboard. Paste the token into this field. Select your Workspace ID if you have one or check the box if you want to create a new workspace. Click the Save button.

Step 2. Once you have installed the connector, you can create an event rule with either a Custom Event Rule or an Alert Rule.

Custom Event Rule. To create a custom event rule, click on Events > New Event Rule > Smartsheet > Create Rule From Template > Send to Smartsheet. Then, click on the plus sign under Add Triggers & Conditions. Choose one of the fplowing options:

Event Name . This is where you will enter the name of an event that you want to send to Smartsheet (e.g., an error. If it exists, it will be listed in this drop-down menu. If it does not exist, then it will not appear in this drop-down menu—you will need to type it in yourself (see screenshot below. You should select an existing event if you want to send the event data to Smartsheet; otherwise, you will need to create an event in Smartsheet before setting up this integration (see screenshot below.

Action . Select a trigger for this integration to perform under certain events. These triggers include. None – No action is taken when any event occurs Email – An email is sent when any event occurs Slack – A message is posted to a Slack channel when any event occurs PagerDuty – An incident is created on PagerDuty when any event occurs Webhook – A webhook notification is sent when any event occurs Incoming Webhook – The incoming webhook action is taken when any event occurs Outgoing Webhook – The outgoing webhook action is taken when any event occurs

Quantity . When applicable, choose a number from 0 to 100 for this integration to do a quantity of something (e.g., sending a maximum of five emails.

Date & Time Range . Set a date and time range for this integration to take effect. This way, it will only occur during those times (if applicable. For example, you could set it up so that the integration only works during business hours (Monday through Friday. or only on weekdays (Monday through Friday. You can also set a window of hours or days instead of specific times (e.g., between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM every day of the week. If no time range is specified, then it will always be active and will send events as soon as they occur.

Writeback . To transfer information about an event back to Smartsheet once it has occurred, select one or more of these options. Do nothing – No information will be transferred back to Smartsheet Attachments – Attachments will be attached to this object Comments – Comments will be added to this object Custom Fields – Custom fields will be added to this object by using the Custom Data option (see next section. Custom Data – Custom data will be sent back to Smartsheet as part of each event update (see next section. Timer – A timer field will be added to this object and used as a trigger for another integration (see next section. Variable – A variable field will be added to this object and used as a trigger for another integration (see next section. Status – A status field will be added to this object and used as a trigger for another integration (see next section. Trigger Another Integration . To send information about an event back to Smartsheet as soon as it occurs by using another integration, select one or more of these options. Email – An email is sent when any event occurs Phone Call – A phone call is made when any event occurs Slack Message – A message is posted in Slack when any event occurs PagerDuty Incident – An incident is created in PagerDuty when any event occurs Webhook Notification – A webhook notification is sent when any event occurs Outgoing Webhook Notification – An outgoing webhook notification is sent when any event occurs Triggered Integrations . To send information about an event back to Smartsheet at a later time by using another integration, select one or more of these options. Select one or both of these options depending on what you want this integration to do. Retrieve Timestamp From . Status Updates . When applicable, choose whether you want this integration to notify you about updates to statuses for items in Smartsheet after they have been updated. If you do not want them notified about updates, then select Never Notify Me . Otherwise, select one or both of these options depending on what you want it to do. Select one or more options that indicate how often you want status updates sent back to Smartsheet after they have been updated. For example, if you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are edited (which requires that they were previously created), then select Edit . If you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are deleted (which requires that they were previously created), then select Delete . If you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are created (which requires that they were previously created), then select Create . If you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are updated (which requires that they were previously created), then select Update . If you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are viewed (which requires that they were previously created), then select View . If you want status updates emailed back to Smartsheet whenever they are changed (which requires that they were previously created), then select Change .
