Integration of Smartsheet and Paddle

I will begin my article with a general introduction about Smartsheet and Paddle. Then I will dive into details of how these two serve as a great duo for project management.

Smartsheet?

Smartsheet is a cloud-based work management software that helps users effectively organize their projects, allocate tasks to specific team members, track task progress, facilitate cplaboration among team members, and review work results in real-time. (1. It comes in three different packages. Basic, Pro, and Enterprise. The Basic package is for small businesses and freelancers wanting to keep track of projects or employees; the Pro package comes with features such as project templates, Gantt chart, resource scheduling and others; the Enterprise package has all of the features of Pro but also includes custom dashboards, self-service reporting, and advanced sharing contrps. Smartsheet is compatible with other popular softwares such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps, Salesforce, SugarCRM, and more. It can be accessed through desktop computers and mobile devices through its web-based interface.

Paddle?

Paddle is an online project management top that allows users to view their work progress from anywhere at any time. It allows users to plan, organize, assign, manage, and track projects, tasks and deadlines from one dashboard. (2. It allows you to set and view your deadlines for each task that can sync with your Google Calendar. It also allows you to set deadlines based on how much time you need to complete a task. For example, if you need a task done within two hours then set a two-hour deadline. It also allows you to create milestones and subtasks to help you organize your project. You can also put your team on project checklists to make sure everyone knows the status of the project and that everyone is on top of their game. It can also be accessed through desktop computers and mobile devices through its web-based interface.

The body of my article will focus on the integration of Smartsheet and Paddle. I will discuss Paddle’s integration with Google Calendar and then move on to Smartsheet’s integration with Paddle. I will talk about how Smartsheet’s software can help Paddle managers easily organize their projects. I will mention how users can access both applications through their mobile devices so they can work on projects wherever they are. I will discuss how Smartsheet’s integration with other popular software like Microsoft Office 365 can provide added benefits for Paddle users. I will conclude by giving an example of how Smartsheet and Paddle can be used in tandem for project management.

  • Paddle Integration with Google Calendar
  • Paddle allows users to integrate their Google Calendar into the system so they do not have to use two softwares at once when working on their projects. This feature is very useful for users because they can view their deadlines saved in both applications at once. They can add events to their Google Calendar from Paddle or synchronize events that are in their Google Calendar into Paddle. This ensures that all deadlines are safely synced and managed in one place at one time. Another benefit of using the Google Calendar integration is that users can create different calendars based on project names so they can see the entire schedule for each project at one time on their calendar. This way they can create milestone goals for each project and see when each milestone should be accomplished. For example, if a project is supposed to be completed by May 1st then the user can create a May 1st event on the project’s calendar to remind him/her that he/she needs to finish this project by this date. Using Google Calendar also helps Paddle users keep track of their daily tasks using their mobile devices since it is compatible with Android phones and iPhones. (3)

  • Another feature of Smartsheet that makes it great for managing projects is its integration with Paddle. With this integration, managers can view all of their team members’ individual tasks listed in one place based on due dates and milestones. This way managers can check up on team members’ progress without having to go back and forth between multiple applications and websites like Gmail or Microsoft Office 365. With the “Project” tab in Smartsheet, managers can easily set up individual projects or categories that are assigned to each team member based on what type of task needs to be done. For example, if there are four members of a team then manager A will create one project called “Tech Team” while manager B will create another project called “Marketing Team” and so on. Once the projects are created then manager A creates sub-categories such as “Website Design” under the “Tech Team” category while manager B creates sub-categories such as “Social Media Marketing” under the “Marketing Team” category. Manager A assigns each member of his/her team one of these sub-categories depending on what kind of task has to be done (for example, if there is a “Website Design” sub-category then manager A will assign one member of his/her team to complete this task. Then he/she sets deadlines for each sub-category based on how long it should take to finish them so he/she can tell which tasks are being completed on time or need some help getting done sooner than expected or later than expected depending on the deadline date he/she set for each sub-category. After he/she sets up these sub-categories then he/she assigns them to each member of his/her team so each team member can view his/her individual tasks in Smartsheet for each sub-category assigned to him/her using his/her Google account linked to Paddle. He/she can then assign tasks to each member of his/her team based on how much time he/she needs to complete a certain task. For example, if there are only two weeks left until a website design task is due then he/she could assign two days worth of work for this task over the next two weeks using Smartsheet’s smart-assignment feature. This way he/she knows exactly how much work his/her team members need to accomplish before their due date arrives so he/she can monitor their progress accordingly. If necessary he/she can give his team members a deadline extension once a week so they have more time if they are falling behind schedule or if they are ahead of schedule he/she can request that they wrap up their work early in order to free up time for other projects if possible.(4. Overall this integration makes Smartsheet a powerful application for managing projects because it allows managers to keep track of their entire team’s progress in one place using just one application instead of having to juggle multiple applications every day just to ensure that everything is going according to plan every step of the way until completion day.
