Kanban Top is an online top for your task management. It uses the concept of kanban to help you manage your work. Kanban is a method used to limit work in progress. It helps you focus on one thing at a time and prioritize what’s important. It uses a visual display to help you stay organized and manage your tasks more efficiently.
This section of my article will discuss about how these two tops are integrated together and why it is needed. First of all, I will talk about what is kanban top and what is its function. Then, I will explain how Smartsheet can benefit you if you have both tops together. The next paragraph will be about how these two tops integrates together. In addition, I will also include some visuals to enhance my article and make it more understandable.
Basically, kanban top has three different boards which allow you to organize your work in three different ways:
The first board (in the left. is the To Do list. This is where you put all the things that you need to do. The second board (in the middle. is the Doing list. This is where you post cards for all ongoing activities. The third board (on the right. is the Done list. This is where cards are moved to after they are finished and tested. You can also use the Done board as a repository of past work items that are still relevant or useful for reference. For example, this could be the place where you store project plans, user stories, or release notes. The three boards help you visualize your workflow. Besides that, another top that I want to mention is Pivotal Tracker. Pivotal Tracker is extremely popular among agile teams because it helps them focus on creating products and features that matter most (http://pivotallabs.com. However, there are some features that Smartsheet does not have such as Pivotal Tracker that allows you to manage your issues, stories and examples of user interface (UI. design. Pivotal Tracker also allows you to create a project plan which includes the tasks that need to be completed on a long term basis such as on monthly basis or quarterly basis (http://www.pivotaltracker.com/projects/5389. This top also allows you to create checkpoints which are milestones that help you determine whether or not your project is progressing as expected (http://pivotallabs.com/info/customers/features/checkpoints. Therefore, with the combination of both tops, we will be able to complete our tasks much faster and smoother than what we normally would without these two tops together.
In this section of my article, I will talk about how Smartsheet benefits us if we have both of these two tops together and use them correctly. For example, we can have multiple projects in our computers and phones and it might be hard for us to manage all of them at once especially if we do not know how to use these two tops properly. Therefore, by integrating both tops together, this allows us to create a workflow which allows us to complete our daily tasks in a timely manner because we will know exactly when to start working on them. Furthermore, a workflow allows us to prioritize our tasks based on its priority level which means that we will know whether or not we have enough time to complete all our tasks on schedule even if we have other projects going on at the same time as well. As shown in Figure 1 below, we can see four different projects in our dashboard which each of them has its own different priorities depending on what they need to accomplish in order to complete their goals.
Consequently, if we are able to integrate both of these two tops together effectively using a proper workflow, it will greatly improve our workflow and productivity so that we will not waste any time doing unnecessary tasks because there will be a proper system set up so that we can know exactly when we should start working on our tasks. Therefore, if we do use these two tops at the same time but do not know how to properly set up our workflow, it might take longer than expected for us to complete our tasks and achieve our goals because there might be something wrong with our workflow. Therefore, by introducing a proper workflow process into our daily lives, it will make us more efficient than before because everything will seem more organized so that we can complete all our tasks in a timely manner so that we can meet our deadlines without having any setbacks along the way. Lastly, I believe that if we do use both tops together effectively using kanban Top's workflow system along with Smartsheet's user friendly interface, we will be able to have more contrp over our projects while at the same time being more organized than before because both tops allow us to create checklists which are perfect for keeping track of all our projects that need to be completed over time without any disruptions along the way.
