Skype for Business is the Microsoft’s enterprise messaging and conferencing platform that connects people to their cpleagues, customers, and partners around the world. Skype for Business provides a set of features that include voice, video, instant messaging, and presence capabilities. It is a perfect spution for large enterprises to complete a business process with a few clicks.

PagerDuty is a cloud-based system that monitors applications and services, providing a real-time alerting service to notify users about outages or other operational incidents. It can be used as an effective top to monitor various processes from multiple locations, regardless of the time zone.

Integration of Skype for Business and PagerDuty

In this section, I will discuss how to integrate Skype for Business and PagerDuty. The integration is done using a webhook URL. The webhook URL is a URL that a server uses to send a POST request to a web application. In this case, the web application is PagerDuty, and the POST request contains the data to be sent to PagerDuty.

Now we should configure Skype for Business to send notifications through PagerDuty. To do this, we will first create a new webhook (click on your username and then on ‘My Settings’. and then we should add it as an application:

After adding the webhook as an application, we should configure it as shown in Figure 2:

It is also important to know that you can select which events should be sent to PagerDuty by ticking the Enable checkbox next to each event:

Benefits of Integration of Skype for Business and PagerDuty

Integration of Skype for Business and PagerDuty can help both organizations and individuals save time and effort. Below I’m going to talk about the benefits of this integration when applied together with different organizations/individuals.

For example, if there’s an outage on their website they would be able to adjust it immediately or if there is an issue with one of their applications then they would be able to fix it before it becomes widespread. Additionally, if there is an active incident with one of their clients then they would be able to address it immediately before it becomes worse. It doesn’t matter if you are working in IT or not; these benefits will certainly help you achieve your goals in terms of productivity and quality of service.
