Integration of Siteleaf and Patreon

Siteleaf?

Siteleaf is a platform that allows individuals to create blogs. The platform enables them to create blogs without the need for any funding, technical knowledge or time commitment. It is easy to set up and use. Individuals can create blogs using the platform and earn money through advertisements and donations from other users. Individuals can even use it for free. However, this comes with limits on the number of blogs and storage space.

The platform was created in 2012 by Jason Cohen and his team while working at Shopify. His team also included Naz Hamid and Daniel Grippi. This happened after they got tired of coding and wanted to create something fun and simple. They were inspired by other platforms such as Tumblr, Reddit and Wordpress. They used the feedback from the users to allow the creation of a platform that would be user-friendly.

The platform was launched in 2013 and has since received positive reviews from users and tech experts. The platform has recently been integrated with Patreon, a crowdfunding platform for artists and creators.

Patreon?

Patreon is a platform that enables artists and creators to get paid for their work by fans and patrons. It has been described as “indiegogo for creators” and enables artists and creators to get paid for their work through donations from their fans and patrons. It facilitates “micropatronage” which is a form of patronage that invpves smaller amounts of money but from more people than just one big patron.

Patrons can donate as little as $1 per month for each creator they support. Creators on the other hand can choose to accept or reject individual contributions from patrons. Those who accept contributions will receive all the money pledged to them at the start of every month until they cancel their account. The creators can also offer rewards for patrons depending on how much they pledge to them per month.

According to Vero, Patreon was co-founded by Jack Conte, an independent musician who had worked as a product manager at Microsoft before creating Patreon. He met Sam Yam, then a product designer at Google, who had also worked as a musician during his university days, when they were both traveling on a bus together on their way home from Burning Man Festival in Black Rock City in 2012. Each of them had separately been thinking about ways to make it easier for artists and creators to get paid for their work and decided to join forces to develop a crowdfunding platform for artists and creators like themselves. They founded Patreon in San Francisco in 2013 and currently employ about 60 people worldwide with headquarters in San Francisco, New York City and Portland, Oregon.

In June 2018, Patreon announced that it had over 1 million active patrons supporting around 50,000 creators who produce content on its platform. In January 2019, Patreon announced that it had over 2 million active patrons supporting over 100,000 creators on its platform.
