Shopify is an e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In May 2018, it was valued at $14 billion. It develops and sells cloud-based software designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs sell products online and manage their sales.

In 2004, the company was founded by Tobias Lütke, Daniel Weinand and Scott Lake after Lütke was unable to find a merchant service provider to build his online store. In 2006, the company launched its software as a service offering. In 2009, Shopify began offering a white-label version of its platform to other companies, which was fplowed with the introduction of themes the fplowing year. In 2011, the company launched its app store, fplowed by the launch of its mobile app in 2012. In 2014, the company launched Shopify Capital, a small business financing program. In 2015, the company launched Shopify Payments, a payments processing service that allows merchants to accept credit cards without signing up for a traditional merchant account. The company has offices in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, San Francisco, Austin, New York City, and London. As of 2017, over 600 employees work for the company. As of May 2018, Shopify supports approximately 600,000 merchants in 150 different countries, employs more than 3,500 people and has over 175 thousand customers.

Canny?

Canny is a smart search engine for images. It allows you to search for images on the internet, but it also helps indexing relevant images from your own computer.

Integration of Shopify and Canny

Canny comes with a built-in Shopify integration. This means that when you create a product or set up a new listing in Canny, you can choose whether you want to add it to your Shopify store or not. If a product is added to your Shopify store via Canny’s integration, it will be automatically synced with all product details, inventory feeds and order data. The product image will be uploaded to your Shopify store as well. This is done via the Shopify API. When a product gets spd on your Shopify store, Canny will automatically sync this information with your Canny account too. All existing orders are synced almost instantly while new orders are synced every 2 hours. You can see which orders were synced and which are pending in Canny’s dashboard view on your Shopify store. If you need to make changes to an order via Canny, we include a “Make changes” button next to each order in the dashboard view on your Shopify store. It will take you directly to the order in Canny where you can update it as needed. If you need to cancel an order from your Shopify store, you can do so in Canny by clicking on the “Cancel” button next to an order in Canny’s dashboard view on your Shopify store. This also includes stock adjustments and re-listings of products that are out of stock on your Shopify store.
