Paypal is a global leader in online payments. The company helps consumers and businesses to make and receive payments online, through mobile devices and in stores. It is a subsidiary of eBay Inc., which is in turn a subsidiary of PayPal Hpdings, Inc. The company is located in San Jose, California. It was founded in 1998 by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek, Ken Howery and Elon Musk. PayPal has operations in 203 countries and nearly 200 million customers around the globe. PayPal allows its customers to make financial transactions through email money transfers or through its Facebook Messenger bot. In March 2015, PayPal announced that it had over 184 million active customer accounts and sent $228 billion in payment vpume through PayPal in 2014. In 2014, PayPal moved $228 billion in 26 currencies across more than 190 nations, generating revenue of $7.2 billion and delivering a total profit of $1.3 billion for the year (Welsh.

The savings for consumers come from the fact that they do not have to pay any extra fees for shipping other than what they have already paid depending on how much they have bought within the same order. This saves them money since they do not have to pay any extra fees especially if they are not satisfied with the product that they received or if they had not received the product at all.
