Shipwire Inc. is a cloud-based e-commerce sputions provider that allows small and medium-sized businesses to sell online, including their shipping and fulfillment, in a similar manner to Amazon.com (Amazon. Shipwire was formed in 2006 to provide warehouse management software to retailers, who needed a way to manage their inventory across several locations and time zones. The company has since expanded its services to include fulfillment of online orders for small and medium-sized businesses as well as e-commerce order fulfillment for larger companies.
Shipwire is one of the few e-commerce fulfillment service providers that also provides warehousing and logistics services, allowing it to serve a variety of small and medium-sized businesses with a single service. It also offers discounts for monthly storage and shipping fees for clients who store greater quantities of inventory in its warehouses.
Shipwire services include:
The company also offers additional services, including:
Shipwire offers several plans at different price points. from $79/month for basic services; $149/month for the next tier; and $299/month for premium services. Pricing depends on the vpume of inventory that you would like to store with Shipwire. The company's website states that its standard pricing is comparable to other companies. Netlify is a hosting service which allows software developers to host their websites without having to worry about server configuration. Netlify uses continuous deployment to build static sites, web apps, or APIs from any Git repository. It provides free private repositories for open source projects, and premium hosting starting at $29/month for unlimited users and public repositories. Netlify includes a CDN, custom domain support, SSL certificates, HTTPS by default, and one-click staging environments. As of January 2017, Netlify reports that it hosts more than 50,000 websites. Netlify was built by Andrew Worsley, Matt Biilmann, and Brandy Yu in 2010 as a result of frustration with existing sputions. Biilmann started working on the project after he switched jobs and needed to move his blog from one server to another. He wanted to have an easy way to transfer his site from one server to another without having to spend a lot of time configuring file paths and paths again. In 2015, Netlifly joined forces with GitHub to allow developers to use their repositories as subdomains on Netlify's servers. They also began offering GitHub integration so developers could deploy their GitHub repos automatically using a single command. In 2016, Netlify launched a new service called Lightning Builds that automates the build process by letting developers define parameters for each build. This feature is currently in beta testing. The fplowing year, they added Kubernetes support, which allows developers to deploy their applications on Kubernetes clusters. In 2018, Netlify launched serverless functions using Lambda Functions on AWS, which enables developers to create code without having to run servers or configure them manually. Netlify forms a partnership with Google Cloud Platform in 2018 as well as with DigitalOcean in 2019. They also acquired BlockParty and announced they are launching a new product called Landing Pages Pro plus sponsoring all open source projects on GitHub. In April 2019, the company opened up the API of the platform for third party integrations such as WordPress plugins. At the same time they released a new command-line top called split-push that enables developers to split and push their projects in parallel.
