Integration of ShipStation and Zoho Desk

For this assignment, I am going to write about Zoho Desk and ShipStation. Zoho Desk is a software designed for customer support and help desk. It has a social aspect built in as well that allows users to communicate with other customers and the company itself. It also has paid add-ons available to it in order to increase its functionality.

ShipStation is a shipping software platform created by Austin-based startup 5-year pd company ShipStation Inc. While not as widely used as many other companies, it has been growing in popularity over the past couple of years. ShipStation helps users manage their shipments at a low cost. It works with many different carriers and provides the user with an easy way to print shipping labels. It can also integrate with popular cloud services such as Zoho Desk.

The integration between Zoho Desk and ShipStation helps the two programs work better together and benefit both companies. The reason that ShipStation does not have its own customer support or help desk is because it is being used by businesses which already have those services in place.

Integration of ShipStation and Zoho Desk

The integration between these two programs is easy to accomplish. First, the user needs to visit the ShipStation website and create an account. Then, they need to click the “Zoho Desk” button in the top right hand corner of the website (see picture below. Once clicked, the user will be prompted to login on their Zoho Desk account. After logging in, the user will be taken to a page that asks them if they want to connect their Zoho Desk account to their ShipStation account (see picture below. Once this is done, the user will need to go into their profile on ShipStation and click “integration” (see picture below. and then select “Zoho Desk” (see picture below. This will connect the two accounts so that any orders or questions posted on Zoho Desk can be seen on ShipStation.

Benefits of Integration of ShipStation and Zoho Desk

The integration between these two programs benefits both companies quite a bit. For Zoho Desk, it allows customers to get information on their orders faster from ShipStation instead of having to call them directly. It also gives them more information on orders without having to visit multiple websites or use multiple applications. It also makes it easier for customers to find answers to their questions without having to know which specific department they should call or email. For ShipStation, integrating with Zoho Desk allows them to sell more of their add-ons since they are easier to see and buy when there are orders posted on the account. It also gives customers more information about their shipments without having to call or email them directly. In addition, since Zoho Desk has integration with Google Calendar, it can alert customers if their package is going to be delivered on a busy day and give them the option of changing it (see picture below.
