Ability to create intricate reports from data in both ShipStation and MongoDB
ShipStation has a powerful integration with MongoDB. By syncing ShipStation and MongoDB, you can:
Store and sync customers' profile information with their shipment information in the database, such as address, phone number, etc. Store and sync each order's tracking information in the database. Syncing each order's tracking information allows you to easily access any or all of a customer's orders and track their shipments in one place. Create intricate reports from data in both MongoDB and ShipStation. These reports include things like orders shipped per week, total orders shipped per month, total number of shipments per year, etc. Further analyze the numbers by filtering the report to only those orders that were shipped on a certain day or a certain time period (e.g., orders shipped yesterday. Create complex shipping rules to automatically handle various situations that may come up during shipment tracking (e.g., if the carrier is late or out of stock of a certain product, ShipStation will notify you immediately. Adjust these rules based on your preferences and goals as a business for each situation. For example. If a carrier is late in delivering a product to a customer, refund the customer automatically for that item so that you don't have to deal with an unhappy customer later. Or if a carrier is out of stock of a particular product, reroute that product to another carrier who does offer that product, so that it arrives at the customer's doorstep on time. ShipStation will keep track of each rule in the database and tell you how many times it has been triggered, how often it has succeeded/failed, and when it was last triggered. This way you can learn about your customers' needs and make changes to your shipping rules over time based on your goals as a business and what customers wanteed. Create complex shipping notifications to notify you when something important happens (e.g., an order has been placed by a customer or has been shipped. This way you can know exactly when an order ships, whether it is shipped through UPS, USPS, FedEx, or another third party carrier. You can even create notifications for specific events (e.g., package delivery confirmation. to better understand where your packages are in their journey to arrive at the customer's doorstep (e.g., was this package delivered today? Was it delivered yesterday? Was it delivered 6 days ago? Etc.. Create complex shipping labels to print in bulk on Avery® Shipping Labels or Zebra® ZPL™ labels. You can even create labels to print with custom graphics. Some of our customers even use ShipStation as their only label manager — they simply assign a custom image template to each carrier they work with and then use this image template when printing labels via ShipStation. This way they never have to worry about running out of labels or accidentally ordering the wrong size of labels again! Print labels directly from ShipStation with just one click. Quickly add new carriers through the integration with your favorite carrier service provider (CSP. Easily add new carriers from ShipStation without having to log into multiple websites — simply choose your favorite CSP from within ShipStation, enter your account details, select which products you want to send through this CSP, and then you're ready to start sending shipments!
