Integration of Shippo and Office 365

Shippo is a cloud-based shipping and logistics platform that allows you to ship packages, manage your orders and integrate with third party services. It provides integration with Salesforce, Google Analytics, QuickBooks, Shopify, and many more.

Integration of Shippo and Office 365

Office 365 is a scalable cloud-based office productivity suite that includes the desktop versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. It also includes the web-based versions of these applications, known as Office Online.

Today, Shippo has added ability to send order status updates to the Microsoft Flow subscription and Office 365 CTA. With this update, you can now create a trigger from Shippo to Microsoft Flow to track the shipment status or automatically send an email to your customers when a shipment is delivered.

How it Works?

Shippo has an API that allows you to connect with other apps and services like Salesforce, QuickBooks, Shopify, Google Analytics etc. Once these integrations are built, they become available in the Shippo Dashboard for the customers to use.

In order to integrate Shippo and Office 365, you need to get the Shippo Integration package from their marketplace. The process to install this package is very simple. Just fplow these steps:

Log on to Office 365 Developer portal by providing your credentials. Click on “My Apps” > “App Management” > “New App” and then enter the details. Name. Shippo Coding Language. Javascript Client ID. Choose from the list (if you do not have one yet then use “test”. Redirect URL. https://MYDOMAIN.onmicrosoft.com/ShippoSample/webauth Click on “Create”. After creating the app, you will see a screen like this. Now click on “API Apps” under “Connected Apps” section in the left pane and click on “Create API App” in the right pane. Now choose the API App that you just created and click on “Permissions” tab. In the Permissions tab, modify the permissions (shown below. of your app to allow it access to the specific APIs required by Shippo.

Change the permission type from “None” to “Read” for all the listed permissions as shown in the image below.

After making changes click on “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Now go back to “Connected Apps” section and click on “Install App Package” button against your app listed there. Enter your credentials again if asked. Now you will see a screen which will prompt you to select an app package. Select the package provided by Shippo and then click on “Install” button. You will now be asked about permissions needed by the app for accessing data within Office 365. Click on “Allow” button against all permissions listed there. Now go back to your app page and click on “Manage Permissions” button against your app listed there. You will see a screen where you can view permissions for your app and how many users have approved them. Click on “Approve” button against any user that has not approved permission for the app yet.
