Netlify is a cloud service that helps developers deploy and manage their applications. It provides options to deploy applications via Docker and Git.

Integration of shippit and Netlify

Shippit and Netlify integration allows you to use Netlify as a shippit workflow destination. There are three steps for integrating shippit and Netlify.

Step 1 - Create an account on shippit.io

Go to the shippit website and click “Sign Up” in the top right corner. Create your account and login.

Step 2 - Create a shippit workflow

Click the “Workflows” tab on the left side, then click “New Workflow”. Give it a name like “Site Deployment”. Add any tags that you want. Then click Save Workflow.

Step 3 - Connect shippit and Netlify

To connect shippit with Netlify, go to your dashboard in Netlify. Click “Build Settings”, then select “Deployment”. Enter the fplowing information:

Shippit URL . The URL of your workflow on Shippit (e.g., https://shippitapp.com/workflows/Site Deployment )

If you don’t have a repository yet, create one on Github or Bitbucket, etc... Be sure to add a .gitignore file to your repository before deploying the first time. This will prevent site content from being deleted. After your first deployment, do not add rules to .gitignore for subsequent deployments or they may be deleted again. See here for more info.

Continuous deployments are best suited for development environments, while manual deployments are recommended for production sites.
