Amazon SQS is based on a message-queue paradigm that enables asynchronous communication between distributed application components, without requiring each component to be actively aware of the others.
Shipcloud is a cross-platform package management system. It provides users with software installation, update, removal, and dependency management features from a central interface. Users can also create profiles which can contain machines, users and groups.
Integration of Shipcloud and Amazon SQS means how Shipcloud can use Amazon SQS to automate software updating, patching, configuration, and other tasks. In this section we will discuss how to integrate Shipcloud and Amazon SQS in detail.
First of all, you should go to AWS conspe, click on services in the left navigation pane. After that you should click on SQS and in the right navigation pane you should click on Get Started. After that you should configure your queue by clicking on Create New Queue button. On the next page enter queue name, keep Queue Region as empty because we want our queue to be created globally, then click on Create button. Now your queue has been created successfully.
Next step is to integrate Shipcloud with Amazon SQS. To do this, you must first login to Shipcloud account, then click on Settings in the left navigation pane. Then you should click on Check for Updates in the left navigation pane. Next step is to click on Advanced Configuration on the left navigation pane. After that you should click on Amazon SQS Settings link in the right navigation pane. Finally, you should fill out all the fields as fplows:
