It is mainly suited for small businesses who want to stay on top of their finances and not spend too much money on expensive inventory management products.

Integration of ServiceNow and Zoho Inventory

ServiceNow provides sputions for most of the needs related to IT service management, however, it does not have anything related to inventory management. This makes it difficult for companies to track the assets they have. In such cases, integrating ServiceNow with Zoho Inventory can help you to manage your assets as well. Zoho Inventory is available for free, which makes it a compelling choice over other inventory management systems. The integration of these two products can help companies to improve their business process management. The fplowing steps can be fplowed to integrate ServiceNow with Zoho inventory:

  • Create a new user in both the products using the same email ID.
  • Get your API codes from Zoho inventory and input them into the ServiceNow application.
  • Add your API keys in Zoho inventory and then save it. After saving, a list of fields will appear after which you have to select “Enable API” from the options available on the screen. A screen regarding the API will appear where you have to enter the API key and click on the “Add API Key” option.
  • In ServiceNow go to Administration-> Applications-> Add Application and then select “Zoho Inventory” from the drop down list. Once it is added, you will see your API keys and other details in the application form. Just fill in these details and save it.
  • Now in Zoho Inventory go to Inventory-> Settings-> Integrations and then click on “Manage Integrations” button from the left side menu bar. A list will appear containing all of your connected applications and their respective API Keys. You will now have to copy this URL into ServiceNow as shown below:
  • On ServiceNow open the application form again by going to Administration-> Applications and then selecting “Zoho Inventory” from the drop down list. Now, select “Import Data” tab and click on “Import Data” button from the right side menu bar. It will take you to another page where you will see a list of data types for importation like product, product line, etc. Select the required option from each category and click on “Next>>” button at the bottom of each page respectively.
  • You will need to provide your credentials again before proceeding further, so provide them and continue till you reach a page where you will see all the details related to your import operation such as number of records imported, time taken for importing records etc. Click on “Finish” button at the bottom of this page when all your details are entered correctly. After this point you will receive an email confirming successful import of data from Zoho inventory into ServiceNow, however, you still need to verify if all your records were imported properly or not manually by going through ServiceNow in detail and checking each and every field one by one thoroughly before going ahead with any further action on this matter because it may lead to data loss if done improperly which shall result in huge problem for your company eventually. You can easily find details about your data import operation by clicking on Reports-> Operational Reports-> Services-> Data Import Summary Report from the top-left menu bar in ServiceNow application.
  • Now that your data is successfully imported into ServiceNow application, go back to Zoho Inventory main interface and then navigate to Inventory-> Products under Inventory tab from left side menu bar within Zoho Inventory application interface, after which you will see a list of products that were imported into ServiceNow application just now along with their respective status such as active or inactive etc., which means that you can now make use of these products within ServiceNow application itself without any problem whatsoever by adding them as part of any Workflow or performing some other action with them directly within ServiceNow application interface itself.
