The API also offers OAuth2 Token Access as a mechanism to allow third-party applications to access information in HubSpot CRM without having to provide user credentials every time.

It offers support for synchronous and asynchronous calls and uses OAuth2 authentication model for authenticating users who are accessing HubSpot CRM data from LinkedIn via this application. Users who want to access or update any data in HubSpot CRM via this application must first enter their LinkedIn credentials on this application after which they will be redirected back to LinkedIn where they will then be asked to grant permission to this application for accessing their LinkedIn account information and then if granted permission, they will be redirected back to this application once again where they can then continue working on accessing or updating any data in HubSpot CRM via this application. Once users have granted permission for this application to access their LinkedIn account information, they can then work on accessing or updating any data in HubSpot CRM via this application without being asked for permissions again until at least one of them decides to revoke permissions through LinkedIn by doing so they will no longer be able to access or update any data in HubSpot CRM via this application without reentering their LinkedIn credentials again.
