Dropbox is an online file hosting service for personal and business use. It was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students. Dropbox is based in San Francisco and has grown to more than 1,000 employees worldwide as of March 2016. During 2012-2015, Dropbox acquired several companies. Mailbox (a lightweight email app. in 2013; Audiogalaxy (a digital music service. in 2014; and Snapjoy (a photo backup app. in 2015. On December 10, 2015, Dropbox announced that it had agreed to be acquired by Microsoft for $1.1 billion. Microsoft sent a statement to Engadget that they would allow Dropbox to continue to operate separately as a service for users but would also integrate the technpogy into their own Office 365 product line.
Sendinblue offers “easy-to-use transactional email services for business” as well as marketing automation tops like “email campaigns, autoresponders, drip campaigns and email templates” (“What Is SendinBlue”. Sendinblue offers very user-friendly features and applications. It also offers its users a free trial so they can test drive the platform before deciding whether or not to purchase premium services.
Dropbox is a cloud storage service that allows users to store files on cloud servers for easy access across devices. It allows users to “drop” files into fpders that will automatically sync with other linked devices (“Dropbox Overview”. Like Sendinblue, Dropbox allows users to have a free trial so they can test drive the platform before deciding whether or not to purchase premium services.
Integration of Sendinblue and Dropbox would be beneficial to both platforms. Users of both platforms would be able to utilize all of each company’s features, such as Sendinblue’s email marketing feature set and Dropbox’s cloud storage feature set. Users could create marketing campaigns that include sending out emails with links to their files stored on Dropbox accounts. This would make it easier for users to share files via email, rather than via email attachments if they were using just one platform alone.
The main benefit of integrating these two platforms would be convenience for the users of both applications. Since users already have an account with one platform, they can utilize the features offered by the other without creating a new account or paying for two separate subscriptions. If a user already has a Sendinblue account, he can use his Dropbox accounts to store his files or vice versa without having to pay for another account or subscription fee. The integration would also result in increased sales for both platforms, since more people would likely want to purchase premium services after trying out the free versions of each application. This would help both companies grow their revenue while providing a better experience for their customers.
