Reddit is a social news aggregation website that provides users with up-to-date information on the latest news. It also allows users to share links to news articles published online, as well as other websites. Other users can then vote these links up or down, which determines how prominently they are displayed on the site. Users can also comment on these articles.
Gmail is an email service owned by Google. It was released in April 2004. Gmail started as a free e-mail service with an initial storage capacity offer of one gigabyte per user, a significant improvement at the time.
Reddit has become an important source of information for many people. People interested in news often visit Reddit to get updates on current events. Gmail allows users to access their messages from anywhere around the world within seconds. Integrating these two services would allow Reddit users to benefit from Gmail’s easy-to-use interface. They could access their messages from Reddit itself, rather than logging into Gmail separately. This would also allow them to access Reddit messages without being logged out of Reddit. Most importantly, integrating these two services will create a seamless experience for Reddit users who like sharing links over email.
Reddit users often share links to news articles via email, especially if they are writing blogs or creating content for other sites. Some of these links might be interesting enough for other users to want to read them. Integrating Reddit and Gmail will make it easier for users to send messages directly from Reddit to their contacts. Reddit messages could be sent to other Gmail accounts as well. The integration may also make it easier for users to reply to messages received through Reddit. If they do not want to post a reply through Reddit, they can just choose to reply via email instead.
Currently, Reddit users have to log into Gmail separately or use Chrome’s “incognito mode” if they want to read messages received through Reddit within the site itself. With integration, however, users will be able to read messages directly from the site itself, without having to log into an external account first. Messages could also be automatically saved by Reddit itself so that users can continue reading them later if they need to log out for some reason.
Reddit messages can now be accessed from mobile devices as well as desktop computers thanks to the new mobile apps released recently by the company. Users can now save messages from Reddit emails on their phones as well as their PCs. However, the messages cannot yet be accessed through Android devices since there is currently no official Android app for Reddit messages yet. A major drawback of this is that messages saved on a phone cannot be accessed on a PC unless the user downloads a third-party app, such as PushBullet, that allows messages from phones to be pushed onto PCs. Unifying messages from Reddit emails with those from third-party apps would simplify the process of accessing messages from both types of devices, thus making life much easier for mobile device users who access Reddit messages often.
