There are 2 ways to integrate ProfitWell and Snov.io together:
Integration through API Integrations through webhooks
First, let’s start with API integrations through API keys. When you first sign up to ProfitWell or if you’ve already signed up but don’t have an API key, you’ll be redirected to the API page to get an API key. Once you have an API key, you can use it to send data into the platform. Snov.io has an API that allows you to communicate with Snov.io’s bots, so let’s find out how we can do that with ProfitWell. To start off, go to the API page and select “Snov.io” under the “Connections” tab. Make sure you are using the correct subdomain, as there are subdomains for each country where Snov.io is active. For example, if you are trying to connect ProfitWell to an Australian bot, make sure you are using the subdomain “api-australia-snovio-com” instead of “api-eu-snovio-com” or “api-us-snovio-com”. Fill out the login credentials for Snov.io and save it. After creating your Snov.io connection, click on the “Test Connection” button at the bottom right corner of the screen to test if the connection is working correctly. If testing was successful, you should see your Snov.io bot’s name along with the id of the bot in the Snovio panel on the left side of your screen under your Snovio connection details. Now that you have connected your Snovio account with ProfitWell, let’s first have a look at how you can use webhooks to integrate ProfitWell with Snovio via webhooks. Webhooks are events that trigger events on specific URLs when certain things happen within our apps; for example, when someone comments on an article on your blog, or when someone submits a form on your website. To set up webhooks for ProfitWell, go to the Configuration page (the page where you created your connection. and click on “Webhooks/API Notifications” next to “API Keys” on the left side of your screen under your Snovio connection details. Here, you will find the fplowing options. Webhook On New Campaign . This will trigger webhooks (if enabled. whenever new campaigns are created in ProfitWell (will not show any information about existing campaigns.
. This will trigger webhooks (if enabled. whenever new campaigns are created in ProfitWell (will not show any information about existing campaigns. Webhook On New Advertiser . This will trigger webhooks (if enabled. whenever new advertisers are added to one of your campaigns in ProfitWell (will not show any information about existing advertisers.
. This will trigger webhooks (if enabled. whenever new advertisers are added to one of your campaigns in ProfitWell (will not show any information about existing advertisers. Webhook On New Campaign Status Change . This will trigger webhooks (if enabled. whenever new campaign status change in ProfitWell (will not show any information about existing campaign statuses. As you can see, there are 3 possible types of webhook events that can be triggered from ProfitWell to Snovio. When a new campaign is created When a new advertiser is added to a campaign When a campaign status change occurs Let’s now have a look at how we can use these events to trigger a bot action within Snovio when they occur in ProfitWell. Each type of event has its own bot action which will be triggered when a specific event is triggered from ProfitWell to Snovio. When a new campaign is created, a bot action called “Campaign creation” will be triggered within Snovio When a new advertiser is added to a campaign, a bot action called “Advertiser addition” will be triggered within Snovio When a campaign status change occurs, a bot action called “Campaign status change” will be triggered within Snovio As seen above, there are 3 different types of events which can be used for triggering bot actions within Snovio depending on what type of event you want to receive from ProfitWell via webhooks. Now let’s go back to our main goal where we integrated ProfitWell and Snovio via API keys instead of using webhooks (or even better yet, why not try both methods. In this case where we integrated both platforms through API keys instead of webhooks, we still want to integrate with Snovio like we did before with webhooks. When a new campaign is created, we want to trigger a bot action within Snovio called “Campaign creation” When a new advertiser is added to a campaign, we want to trigger a bot action within Snovio called “Advertiser addition” When a campaign status change occurs, we want to trigger a bot action within Snovio called “Campaign status change” To do this with ProfitWell and Snovio without using webhooks, we need three separate API keys for our ProfitWell integration instead of just one as we did with our webhooks integration. One API key for each of the events we want to trigger bot actions within Snovio. Campaign creation Advertiser addition Campaign status change Once we have created our three separate API keys for our ProfitWell integration with Snovio, we can now set up each of those events with each separate API key so that when one of those events occurs in ProfitWell, it will trigger an event within Snovio using its respective bot action name which we created previously in Step 4 above. How do we do this Since our integration between ProfitWell and Snovio is already established so that each time one of these events happens in ProfitWell it triggers an event within Snovio via the respective bot action name that was previously created in Step 4 above, all we need to do is simply edit that specific event in ProfitWell so that it triggers the corresponding bot action name that was previously created in Step 4 above within Snovio! For example say I want my Snovio integration to work when a new campaign is created within ProfitWell using its default bot action name “Campaign creation” which was already created in Step 4 above. All I would need to do here would be to go back into my Snovio integration settings in ProfitWell and edit my existing integration against my Default Campaign Event Template which should be set up against my Default Campaign Event Template ID 1 by default. Select the same event which should say something like “new campaign creation” or something similar depending on what exactly it says for your specific industry or business that you are integrating with ProfitWell. Next, all I would need to do would be to click on the edit button besides my Default Campaign Event Template ID 1 so that I can edit its default value so that it triggers my specific bot action called “Campaign creation” which I had previously created in Step 5 above which was also against my Default Campaign Event Template ID 1 by default. After this I would then click on either Save or Update depending on what option I chose for my default Campaign Event Template ID 1 in Step 6 above! That’s all there is too it! Once I have completed these steps above for each event I wanted to integrate
