According to the official website of ProfitWell, it is “a software-as-a-service (SaaS. company that provides ecommerce merchants with real-time performance data and insights.” (ProfitWell, 2015. It was initially founded in 2012 by CEO Brad Smith. The idea came from the fact that there was no top at that time for small businesses to analyze the performance of their ecommerce websites.
MailChimp Ecommerce is also an online marketing service that helps ecommerce merchants use email marketing to drive sales. As stated on its site, “MailChimp takes the work out of managing your email marketing campaigns.” (Mailchimp Official Site, 2017. The MailChimp Ecommerce integration with ProfitWell allows you to post your affiliate link or track your affiliate commissions directly into ProfitWell reports. This way, you can easily track your affiliate income, identify profitable affiliates, and compare affiliate networks.
In order to integrate MailChimp Ecommerce with ProfitWell, you have to fplow these steps:
Step 1. Go to your MailChimp Ecommerce account and click on “Settings” tab on top right side. Then click on “Integrations.”
Step 2. In the next page, click on “Add New Integration” button. From the drop-down menu, select “ProfitWell” under “Software Integrations.” In the next page, fill in information about your business including name, address, etc. Next, you will need to provide API key of your ProfitWell account. API key can be found in the API settings page of your ProfitWell account. API key has a limit of 4 request per second and 200 API requests per hour. Once you have entered API key, click on “Save Integration.”
Step 3. In this step, you will need to enter API key from your MailChimp Ecommerce account into API settings page of your ProfitWell account. To get API key from MailChimp Ecommerce, go to Settings > API Keys from your MailChimp Ecommerce account, then get API Key from the drop-down menu and copy it. Please note that API Key has a limit of 4 request per second and 200 API requests per hour. Once you have copied API key in ProfitWell, you will need to enter API Secret Key in the same page in ProfitWell and click on Save Data in the bottom of the page. Now it is ready for commission tracking between your ecommerce store and affiliate programs!
