Integration of PostgreSQL and CheckMarket

In this paper I will show how CheckMarket and PostgreSQL can be integrated. PostgreSQL is a free and open source object-relational database management system (ORDBMS. It was created by the developers of the computer language PostScript at what was Digital Equipment Corporation in 1986. The name “PostgreSQL” is an abbreviation for “Post(gres. SQL”. This open source database is used by a large number of institutions around the world, including many companies that are listed on stock exchanges. It is also used to store information about patients in hospitals in Ireland and it is used by various public administrations in the Netherlands.

CheckMarket is an open source e-commerce platform that was developed in Ukraine, which allows users to create their own online stores based on CMS AniCMS.

    Integration of PostgreSQL and CheckMarket

In order to integrate both products, we need to install CheckMarket and PostgreSQL on separate servers. In particular, we will use the LAMP stack server (Linux operating system, Apache web server, MySQL database, PHP programming language. for this task. At this stage, we will not define the IP addresses of the servers. We will do it later when we will prepare the functional part of the project. For now, let us consider how to install all components of this stack on one machine.

Install and configure Apache:

Installing Apache web server

First of all, we must install Apache Web Server. If you already have it installed on your machine, you can skip this part of configuration. Go to the terminal window and type:

sudo apt-get install apache2

After installation of Apache web server, we should configure it. Open the file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf using your favorite editor (for example nano):

sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

Go to line 52 in the file:

<Directory /var/www/> Options Indexes FplowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Require all granted </Directory>

And replace it with:

<Directory /var/www/> Options FplowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride All Require all granted </Directory>

Save the file and restart Apache Web Server:

sudo service apache2 restart # or sudo systemctl restart apache2.service

Create directory for CheckMarket:
