Integration of Pipedrive and nozbe

This article will give my opinion about Pipedrive and nozbe. They are two great business management softwares that can manage every business activities, from sales to marketing, project management, accounting, etc. I downloaded both software for free and they have 30 days trial period. The fplowing is my experience and comparison of them.

I found many similarities and differences between these two softwares. Here I am going to discuss all the similarities and differences.

Similarities:

Integrations of Pipedrive and nozbe:

Both Pipedrive and nozbe can integrate with many third party softwares such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, etc. Both of them can import contacts from your Gmail/Google account too. And once you connect with Gmail, everything you do in Gmail can be synced to nozbe or Pipedrive (for example, if you add a new contact to your Gmail, it will also be added to nozbe or Pipedrive.

Nozbe can integrate with many third party softwares, including Basecamp, Slack, Trello, Facebook Pages, Twitter and others. It is more convenient than Pipedrive that only integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox and Evernote.

Nozbe can issue invoices automatically through Stripe service. It is very convenient for freelancers like me. You can create an invoice for a particular customer directly from nozbe. You don't have to check the Stripe website to see whether the invoice has been paid yet. But you cannot do this in Pipedrive.

Pipedrive has less features than nozbe. For example, Pipedrive does not allow you to add tasks to a pipeline queue directly from email or desktop calendar. In order to do this in Pipedrive, you have to create a new task manually instead of clicking a button on email or desktop calendar. You cannot create a new pipeline directly from email or desktop calendar in Pipedrive either. You have to create a new pipeline manually first then add tasks to the pipeline later. These are the biggest drawbacks of Pipedrive for me.

The ability of creating new pipelines and adding tasks to pipelines from email or desktop calendar are critical features that almost every business management software should include. This is why I prefer nozbe over Pipedrive because of its better integration with third party softwares and easier usability.

Nozbe has more customizable dashboard than Pipedrive. Nozbe allows you to select what modules you want to appear in your dashboard and what size they will be displayed on your screen. In Pipedrive you can only choose how many rows should be shown in each module on your dashboard. This feature is hardly useful for me because I always hide the modules I dont need most of the time. So I don't think it is a good decision for Pipedrive not to allow users to customize their dashboard more completely. If you use nozbe's dashboard customization feature properly, you may not need any other kind of customization for yourself.

Benefits of Integration of Pipedrive and nozbe:

If you integrate Pipedrive and nozbe together, you will get many benefits which include:

  • Save time and effort. You will not have to switch from one software to another when you need to add a contact, create a task or create an invoice for a particular customer from different softwares at the same time; Instead, you will be able to do everything in one place without switching from one software to another. This will save you much time and effort compared with using only one software at the time because you don't have to switch between them all the time. In addition, if you use both softwares together for daily activities such as managing pipeline queues, checking tasks' statuses and creating new tasks' statuses, you will save even more time comparing with managing them all in only one software at the time. This is how it works. If you create a task in nozbe but there is no pipeline in nozbe for this task yet, nozbe will show you a list of all the pipelines related to this task if any exist in Pipedrive; When you click on any pipeline in the list, it will show you a list of all tasks in that pipeline if any exist in Pipedrive; When you click on any task in the list, it will show you a list of all milestones in that task if any exist in Pipedrive; When you click on any milestone in the list, it will show you a list of all tasks related to that milestone if any exist in Pipedrive; This process continues until there are no more pipelines/triggers/milestones/tasks/people related to this task. Then nozbe will take you back to the original task screen where you created this task; This process saves much time compared with creating tasks in only one software at the time because now you only have to click one button instead of clicking several buttons (you don't have to click any buttons at all if there are no tasks/projects/people/triggers/milestones related to this task. The same goes for creating new pipelines and adding tasks to pipelines when you are doing it through email or desktop calendar integration (which is very convenient by the way. Even though there are some drawbacks of Pipedrive such as less customization options that I discussed above (I feel that it is too few), I still think it is useful considering its ability of integrating with many popular third party softwares such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote and others. Compared with nozbe that only integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox and Evernote (no other third party softwares), I think it is more important that Pipedrive integrates with many third party softwares. Thus I choose Pipedrive over nozbe as my main business management software because I believe it will be more useful for me in the long run.
