Integration of Pipedrive and BigCommerce

BigCommerce is a cloud-based ecommerce platform that enables its users to set up a website for selling products and services online and manage their businesses. BigCommerce was founded in 2009 by Eddie Machaalani, an Australian entrepreneur. BigCommerce has over 200,000 customers and 2 million subscribers of Bigcommerce Pro. The company has been valued at $1.2 billion.

Pipedrive is sales pipeline management software that helps companies manage their sales pipelines, track deals, close more deals. It is owned by the Estonian company Pipedrive OÜ and was founded by Timo Rein, Toomas Rein, and Jevgeni Kabanov in 2010. The company’s headquarters are located in Tartu, Estonia. As of 2014, it has around 2,500 paying customers and about 55 employees.

The integration of Pipedrive and BigCommerce allows the user to view all of their contacts from Pipedrive in BigCommerce, as well as create and send emails to contacts on the CRM list on Bigcommerce. It also allows the user to automatically sync orders from BigCommerce to Pipedrive, as well as import customer lists and sync them with other lists in Pipedrive. It also allows the user to generate reports on Pipedrive.

Integration of Pipedrive and BigCommerce

Once the user logs into Pipedrive, they can see their contact list on the left side of the screen, where they can also search for contacts and add them to their CRM lists. The user can also see their progress on Pipedrive by clicking on three dots on the upper right hand corner of any page and going to the dashboard option. On the dashboard, there will be a section called Pipeline where the user can see their Pipeline summary which consists of their Customers, Opportunities, and Leads.

When the user goes to the Contacts tab on the left side of the screen, they are able to see all of their contacts on one page. There are two icons above each contact’s name. one for viewing information about the contact; and one for adding the contact to a CRM list. There is a search bar at the top of this page that allows the user to search through all of their contacts. The user is able to create a new contact by creating a new, blank contact form that is linked to their existing or new CRM list. They can then fill out basic fields like First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Telephone Number, Job Title etc. on this form to create a new contact. They can also add people who they have just met by selecting “Add known contact” which will ask them to enter contact details about that person so it can be added to their list. Once a contact is added successfully by filling out all required information, it will be added to the CRM list that was chosen when creating the contact form. The user can also add notes about each contact or attach files directly from their computer. When adding a contact to a CRM list, they can select whether they want that particular contact to be added as an individual or business contact (if they are a business. If they want to view information about a particular contact, they can click on the three dots next to the contact’s name and select “View Profile” or select “Create Report” if they want to create a report about that person.

BigCommerce also has a section called Contacts which contains all of the contacts under the Default Contacts listing. These contacts are created automatically when a user creates an account on BigCommerce. The user can assign these contacts to customer groups and provide them with discounts or special offers based upon their preferences. They are also able to view information about these contacts on this page, such as their email address and telephone number. The user can also add notes about them or create reports about them from this page as well. When searching for contacts on BigCommerce, it will show them all of their contacts who have purchased something from them or who they have sent an email or newsletter to (whether they have purchased from them or not. There is also a search bar at the top of this page which allows them to search for specific contacts based upon criteria like name, first name, last name, email address etc. Some customers may have multiple addresses associated with them so if the user wants to see information about all of these addresses, he/she can click on More Options > Addresses at the bottom of the page when viewing a particular customer profile.

Bigcommerce integrates with Pipedrive via Zapier which is a top used for connecting applications together. In order to connect these two applications together, there must be an API key which is generated by each application after signing up for an account with them. This key is used in order for Zapier to interact between these two applications. For example. when a new order is created in BigCommerce, it will trigger an email in Pipedrive with details about that order sent to the customer who placed it. Or when a new email is sent to Pipedrive with certain keywords such as “order confirmation” or “receipt” it will automatically create an invoice in BigCommerce with details about the order including cost and tax etc. If there is no API key generated for either application, then Zapier cannot connect these two applications together effectively and there will be no integration between them until both API keys are generated by these applications. For example. there cannot be automatic syncing of orders from BigCommerce to Pipedrive unless there is an API key generated by both applications as this triggers communication between the two different platforms. The same goes for automatic syncing of contacts from one application to another – if there is no API key generated by both applications then they cannot talk to each other effectively and there will be no integration between them until both API keys are generated by these applications
