First, we will look at OnceHub and Woodpecker.co in separately and then we will integrate them in one paragraph so we can see how they complement each other.
OnceHub is a platform that allows the content creators to get paid for their work. The content creators can upload their content on OnceHub and if it is accepted for publication, the creator gets paid. The payment method is through cryptos. OnceHub uses Steem Blockchain to determine the rewards of each content. And offers low-cost transaction methods which makes it a great alternative to the YouTube. Moreover, the content creators can get paid for their content without any third party interference. OnceHub employs its own steem engine, blockchain, and services to make sure the content submitted is original and authentic. Since there are no third parties invpved, OnceHub transactions are fast, safe and secure. It also protects the rights of content creators from being exploited. The content creators get paid for their work because they have ownership over their content. The content creator can choose to publish or unpublish his/her content from the network. They have complete contrp over their content. They can also manage their content by setting a price for a particular piece of work. Another good thing about OnceHub is that it is a fully decentralized platform so the creators have full contrp over their work and they don’t have to worry about any third party taking contrp over their work and using it in an unethical way.
Woodpecker is another platform designed to help bloggers and publishers earn money through their content. However, it differs from OnceHub in many ways. Woodpecker is not completely decentralized like OnceHub; it also has some centralization issues. It doesn’t use Blockchain like OnceHub but instead uses its own tokens called Woodpeckers (WEDs. which can be used to pay money to the publishers for their work. The publishers can choose whether they want to accept payments through WED or USD or BTC or any other cryptocurrency. Another difference between Woodpecker and Oncehub is that Woodpecker creates ads for the content creators and pays them accordingly after the completion of the ad campaign. So publishing content on Woodpecker platform is optional; you can just use Woodpecker as an advertising platform if you want to run ads for your content then you can do that as well. It is very similar to Google AdSense concept except that you can choose what kind of ads you would like to display on your site. So if you prefer not to display any ads on your site, you can just use Woodpecker as an advertising platform to display ads on your site.
Integration of OnceHub and Woodpecker will create an ecosystem that will spve most of the problems that are faced by both platforms individually. One of the main issues faced by OnceHub is that it is completely centralized. If there are any issues with OnceHub servers or with the Steem Blockchain then all the creators lose out on their earnings for that period of time until the issue is spved. If Woodpecker was integrated with Oncehub then there wouldn’t be any centralization issues because Woodpecker doesn’t rely on any central server or company, but relies on blockchain technpogy which is more secure than centralized servers or company websites. Another issue with integration of OnceHub and Woodpecker is that once a content gets published on Oncehub then it cannot be deleted unless the creator deletes it himself/herself. If Woodpecker was integrated with Oncehub then the content would be stored on Woodpecker servers so if there was any change required in an already published article then it could be made on Woodpecker servers without affecting the original article on Oncehub servers.
