Office 365 includes a number of cloud-based services, such as Exchange Online email and calendar service, SharePoint Online document cplaboration service, Skype for Business online meetings and calling service, OneDrive cloud storage service, Dynamics CRM Online customer relationship management service, and Office Online web-based versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Office 365 also allows users to install and use the locally installed desktop versions of Microsoft Office software on up to five devices (PCs or Macs. owned by the user or associated with the user's Microsoft account.Office 365 was officially launched on June 28, 2011 as a successor to Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS. It was initially launched as a pilot program in November 2010 with 125 customers. It was officially launched in June 2011 at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2011. The marketing name "Office 365" comes from the software being delivered as a service over the Internet, rather than packaged software installed at a customer site. What is TickTick?

TickTick is an online project management service created by Asia-based company Server Atlantic in 2012. TickTick provides all basic features of project management software including Gantt chart, time tracking, task management, resource management and reporting which are also available in Microsoft Project. In addition to these basic features, TickTick also provides some advanced features like task delegation and budget allocation which make TickTick stand out in the industry.

Integration of Office 365 and TickTick

Office 365 integrates with TickTick very easily using Zapier. Both services offer application programming interfaces (APIs. for third-party applications to integrate with them. With the help of Zapier, both services can be integrated together through their APIs.Zapier is a top that allows different applications to be integrated with each other through their APIs. For example, if an incoming email triggers an action in one app, Zapier will make the necessary calls to another app to perform the corresponding action. In this case, an action in TickTick would trigger an action in Office 365.

  • First step is to create a Zap from your TickTick account to your Office 365 account. To do so you need to select “Microsoft Office 365” as the first trigger app and choose “Create a new trigger”. Then you need to select “Add an action” under “Select Action” section and choose “Add an app” from the drop-down menu under “Select Action Category” section. TickTick has chosen “Zapier” as an example here but you can choose whatever you want. After creating a new trigger you will move to the next page where you will need to complete three steps. Select Trigger Timeout(Seconds), Select HTTP Request Type and Enter URL that contains your organization’s domain with /api/v1/mailboxes/ in front of it.(For instance https://contoso.onmicrosoft.com/api/v1/mailboxes/)
