The suite of applications is created by Microsoft and can be used on any computer or mobile device with internet access.The system was launched in 2011 by Microsoft to replace their previous cloud based office spution named Office Live Workspace. With this launch Microsoft hoped to compete with Google Docs. Unlike Google Docs, which is free for consumers to use, Office 365 must be paid for. Such plans include Small Business Online Express, Midsize Business Online, Enterprise E1, E3, and E5.
