Office 365 is the most recent version of the Microsoft Office suite. The current version, Office 365, was created in 2014. Office 365 consists of several features, applications, and services. DocuSign is an electronic signature service used by businesses and individuals to sign documents electronically.
Microsoft has partnered with DocuSign to integrate the two companies’ services. Users can integrate Office 365 and DocuSign using Outlook Web Access, which is hosted by Microsoft on cloud servers. Users can access DocuSign from within Outlook Web Access and use the two together to create and send contracts and other forms electronically. This allows users to avoid printing documents, signing them physically, and then scanning them back into a digital format. Microsoft also allows users to create emails directly from DocuSign using its Outlook software.
Using Office 365 and DocuSign together benefits both parties. Businesses that use DocuSign benefit because they can do more work via email without having to print documents. Businesses also benefit because they can quickly send out contracts without having to scan documents back in after they are signed. Individuals benefit because they can send out contracts electronically, reducing the physical effort invpved in sending out contracts. Microsoft also benefits from the integration because it retains a customer who might otherwise leave to use a different platform.
