  1. Step 1: Choose Notion as a trigger app and Select "Trigger" from the Triggers List.

Integration of Notion and Vend

  • Notion is a freeware application that allows you to create and share notes, mind maps, outlines and web pages. Notion can also be used to host blogs and wikis. (Notion)

  • Vend is an eCommerce platform for small-to medium-sized businesses. It has features such as shopping cart, payment gateway, inventory management, and more. (Vend)

  • Integration of Notion and Vend
    • Create a note in Notion about the topic you want to write about in your blog post. For this example, I will use the topic "Why use Notion instead of other note-taking applications?"
    • Export this note as a text file, which can be found under File > Export > As Text. This will give you a text file with the notes in the document.
    • Next, open your blog post in your preferred writing application (for me it's Microsoft Word. and create an introduction paragraph for your article. You can then copy and paste the text into your blog post.
    • To format the text, head to the Visual Editor, select the text you want to format, and click on the icon to the left of the text box to open up the topbar. Click on the icon on the far left to open up text formatting options. Here you can change the font size, font family, cpor, weight, line spacing, alignment, etc. You can also insert tables, lists, images, etc using this topbar.
    • Next, click on the icon to the right of the text box to open up the topbar again. Click on the icon on the far right to insert content from another source. Click on Select File to open up a dialog box where you can select your text file exported from Notion. The text will be imported into your blog post. You can now format the imported text as you did with your previous text.
    • When finished with editing your blog post, you can publish it to the blog hosted by Vend. The link to this blog post will be automatically copied into your clipboard. You can now paste it into your note in Notion to share it with others! (See below)

  • Benefits of Integration of Notion and Vend
    • Save time creating blog posts because you don't need to switch between different applications to create them. All the formatting you would normally do in a word processor or blog editor is already built into Notion so all you need to do is copy and paste your text into your note in Notion! No need to reformat anything either! :)
