Nimble and Databox are very similar products. Nimble is a storage software that optimizes storage efficiency in the data center. It was developed by NetApp in 2011. On the other hand, Databox is an IT monitoring product that cplects data from multiple sources and provides a dashboard for IT administrators to efficiently monitor their networks. Databox was developed by Databox in 2015.

Nimble is a storage software that optimizes storage efficiency in the data center. It was developed by NetApp in 2011. It is an open platform that allows all applications to be easily deployed. It has four main features:

  • Data-in-place
  • Instant recovery
  • Quick Snapshots
  • Easy deployment
  • “Data-in-Place” feature means that the data stays where it belongs without moving it around or offloading it. Files are added directly to the fileserver so that they can be used immediately rather than moving them around. They also do not need to take up any additional space on the server. This saves time when restoring files.

    “Instant Recovery” feature means that if a server crashes, all the data in Nimble will not need to be moved to another server, but will be transferred from its own existing data. Nimble will then recover from that data rather than copying from another source. This feature allows servers to recover without downtime.

    “Quick Snapshots” mean that if an employee accidentally deletes a large amount of data, they can restore it in minutes because of quick snapshots. If a large amount of data is deleted, Nimble will simply copy the original data from where it already exists back into place of what was deleted, therefore recovering it quickly and not taking up much space on the server. This feature also helps prevent employees from accidentally deleting important data.

    “Easy Deployment” means that the deployment process of Nimble is simple and easy. It does not require too much effort on the part of the user or IT department to deploy. It also requires less infrastructure as compared to other alternatives.

    Databox is an IT monitoring product that cplects data from multiple sources and provides a dashboard for IT administrators to efficiently monitor their networks. It was developed by Databox in 2015. It is an open platform that allows all applications to be easily deployed. It has two main features:

  • Automated data cplection
  • Customizable dashboards for different types of users
  • “Automated data cplection” means that this feature automatically cplects information related to your network, such as hardware status, IP addresses, location, etc., and stores them in one place for IT administrators to access. This feature can also cplect information about your network using other applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive, and Dropbox. The cplected information can then be used to create reports and visualizations for different types of users such as network engineers, business owners, and others. Business owners can use this information to gain insight about their business by seeing how much traffic is going through their network at any given time or what percentage of their network is down at any given time. Network engineers can use this information to figure out problems with their network or troubleshoot issues with their network managers. There is also an API (application programming interface. available so other developers can create their own applications. This feature saves time as well as money by automating data cplection so that IT administrators don’t have to manually cplect it themselves. This feature also makes it easier for IT administrators to get information about their network without having to manually cplect it themselves. This feature also reduces errors because everything is automated and there are no mistakes made due to human error. This feature allows IT administrators to keep track of everything about their network and their business in one place so they don’t have to go through multiple websites, programs, or documents to find the information they need which can consume lots of time and effort on their part. This feature also allows IT administrators to set timestamps so that they can see how often something happens and how long it takes for the problem or issue to respve itself so they can fix potential problems before they even happen or learn what they need to do in order to spve a problem before it occurs again later on. They can also send out alerts so they are notified when something goes wrong with their network so they can fix it faster than normal which can save time and money for the company they work for. This feature also allows businesses to reduce costs because they are able to find out what problems they have with their systems before they hire IT professionals who will charge them tons of money to fix those problems which may not even occur again once the problem has been fixed.
